Tenuta di Valgiano Colline Lucchesi 2015

95 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(4/2018) "The 2015 Tenuta di Valgiano is a total knock-out. Dark, sumptuous and arrestingly beautiful, the 2015 races across the palate with breathtaking intensity in all its dimensions. Creme de cassis, plum, lavender, licorice, spice and menthol are some of the many notes that infuse this exotic, voluptuous edition of the flagship Tenuta di Valgiano. Medium in body and super-refined, the 2015 has it all. What a gorgeous wine it is."

Dominus "Napanook" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

96 James Suckling
93+ Wine Advocate
(10/31/2017) "Bottled in July 2017, Dominus' more approachable, less tannic sister wine, Napanook, is a blend this year of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Napanook Proprietary Red Wine is redolent of creme de cassis, potpourri, plum preserves and violets with hints of dark chocolate, menthol, licorice and charcoal. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is densely packed with black fruit preserves and earthy layers, supported by firm, ripe, fine-grained tannins and finishing with great length. Drink Date: 2017 - 2030."

Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Saint-Joseph Rouge 2015

94 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
95 Wine Spectator
(11/15/2018) "Very alluring, this red cuts a broad swath, as velvety-textured cassis, plum and blackberry puree flavors move through, infused with warm anise, black tea and mesquite notes. The mouthwatering acidity is well-buried through the finish, lending this somewhat weighty wine a mouthwatering character. Best from 2019 through 2028. 1,500 cases made. Highly Recommended"

Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe "La Crau" Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2016

95 Wine Spectator
94 Wine Advocate
94 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
95+ Jeb Dunnuck
(10/2017) "Slightly fresher than the La Roquete release (I always taste this cuvee after the la Roquete which is also made by the Brunier family), the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc gives up lots of lemon and grapefruit characteristics as well as a terrific, salty minerality that makes you salivate. Medium to full-bodied, tight, fresh and clean, it needs 2-3 years of bottle age and will singe for 2 decades or more. As with the 2015, it's a candidate for the finest white made at this estate."

G. D. Vajra "Bricco Delle Viole" Barolo 2014

96 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(2/2018) "The 2014 Barolo Bricco delle Viole is positively stunning. There are many things about this wine that are super-impressive, but what stands out most is how soft and silky the tannins are. Because of that, the 2014 is much more approachable than it usually is, and yet also conveys the feeling of translucence that is such a signature of this site and wine. I am not sure I have ever tasted a young Bricco delle Viole with this much purity of fruit. The 2014 is total class. Don't miss it. Drink 2022-2044."

Displays an appealing blend of richness and energy and shows no rough edges. Finishes juicy, smooth and impressively long, with harmonious tannins lending shape and gentle grip."

Paolo Scavino "Prapo" Barolo 2015

94 James Suckling
95 Wine Advocate
(6/28/2019) "This is also a new wine, coming from less than a hectare in the Prapo vineyards, from which only five producers draw their fruit. It's a beautiful plot at about 1,000 feet in altitude and with a full southern exposure, producing some very meaty fruit with a high phenolic presence, as the color is darker and there is more perfume. The 2015 Barolo Prapo is a distinctive vintage of a wine that is one to watch, for sure. The vineyard makes the difference, with brown and orange sandy soils, along with marlstone and veins of soils more typical of the area. The Scavino family bought this plot in 2008 and let the land rest for two years before they replanted. The goal, they said, was to steer away from more productive clones in favor of those that wouldn't take away too much from the quality. They took wood from the mothership vineyards in Bricco Ambrogio for this experiment, grafting them onto the rootstocks they carefully selected. The result is a soft and delicate Barolo with a lot of personality to go along with its firmness and power. This is an easy cru to recognize. Enrico Scavino said they could have waited longer for this experimental harvest, but they felt the time was right, explaining that "this work is all about feelings and instincts." Drink Date 2022 - 2045"
