Chappellet "Pritchard Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

97 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
98 James Suckling
99 Wine Advocate
(12/30/2016) "The flagship wine, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill, 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec, is a stunner and one of the great, great 2014s. Inky purple with blueberry and blackberry fruit, cassis, licorice, graphite and white flowers, the wine is stunningly concentrated, full-bodied and seemingly one of the greatest of the 2014s. Still youthful, with at least 25-30 years of upside potential at the minimum, this is a wine for patient connoisseurs. Anticipated maturity: 2023-2050."

Vineyard 29 "Aida Estate Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

98 Wine Advocate
(10/26/2015) "On the valley floor, with an almost Châteauneuf du Pape layer of small stones, is the Aida Estate, one of my favorite vineyards just north of St. Helena. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Aida Estate is a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc aged 20 months in three-fourths new French oak. The good news is that there are 800 cases of this magnificent wine, with a somewhat Graves-like scorched-earth, charcoal, burning ember-scented nose, with notes of hot earth, blackberry and cassis fruit. Big, full-bodied, exuberant and rich, this thick, unctuously textured, purple wine should drink beautifully for 25-30 or more years."

Bollinger "R.D." Extra Brut Champagne 2004

97 James Suckling
97 Wine Advocate
(6/29/2018) "Fermented in oak barrels and aged under natural corks for almost 13 years, Bollinger's 2004 R. D. Extra Brut blends 66% Pinot Noir with 34% Chardonnay from 16 crus, 88% of which are classified as Grand Cru. The wine opens with a very clear, deep, rich and aromatic but also pure and mineral-fresh nose of crushed rocks, cherries, brioche, pain aux raisin, white nougat, chalk and ripe, yellow-fleshed fruits. Highly elegant and complex on the weightless yet persistent and salty palate, this is an intense, densely woven, firmly structured yet elegant, beautifully refined and refreshing 'recent disgorgement' (February 2018) that reveals just a kiss of oxidative flavors that adds even more complexity. A great Champagne on its way to improve over many years in the bottle. Tasted June 2018. Drink Date 2018 - 2034."

Ridge "Monte Bello Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Proprietary Red 2015

98+ Vinous, Antonio Galloni
100 James Suckling
(11/3/2018) "Stunning depth, power, purity and elegance. The blackcurrants and plums are fresh and intense on the nose with blueberries and gently herbal notes, too. The palate has a keenly articulated array of vibrant tannins that hold long, fresh and pure. It invokes a sense of wonderment at the finish. So long and so pure. This blend of 77 per cent cabernet sauvignon, 11 per cent merlot, seven per cent petit verdot and five percent cabernet franc, is just at the start of a wonderful journey. Try from 2021."

Marc Hebrart "Special Club" Brut Champagne 2013

Winemaker's Notes
"The most revered Champagne expert in America, importer Terry Theise, has declared this Champagne nearly perfect! Here's what he had to say about this truly SPECIAL wine, "There have been great ones over the years - 2002, 2008, 2012 - but none as otherworldly as this, the most exquisite young Champagne I have ever tasted. Deg. 8/29/17, it is quite different from the '12, but just as sublime. 2012 croons, and this one whispers. '12 leaps like a gazelle; '13 flaps its gossamer white wings. '12 is clearly and tangibly great; '13 is ethereally and hauntingly great. '13 is a little like 2008, but with less prominent acidity; still, it's in the family of high cirrus-y skies with mares' tails and ice-rainbows. I wish I had four plusses to give it. Each pure beautiful element of Champagne is carefully arranged to be examined and identified, until they all melt together into Pleiades of nuance and structure. It's an ivory-pale bride, shining with bliss and love, even through her gauzy veil. This weightless masterpiece is 30% PN from Mareuil (Faubourg d'Enfer, Croix Blanche, Pruche and Cotes), 25% Ay (Cheuzelles, Pierre Robert, and Le Leon) 35% CH old-vines Mareuil (Beauregard, Ramonette and Buisson Saint Loup) and 10% CH Oiry and Chouilly (Justice and Montaigu). It is also a Coeur de Cuvee."

Diamond Creek "Gravelly Meadow" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

95 James Suckling
97+ Wine Advocate
95 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(1/2018) "Diamond Creek's 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow is defined by a sense of translucency and lift that is compelling. Medium in body and light on its feet, the 2014 is all about persistence. Here, too, the tannins are remarkably soft and polished for such a young Diamond Creek wine. Hints of lavender, plum, violet, spice and mint add character to a wine that speaks to finesse more than pure power."

Diamond Creek "Volcanic Hill" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

96 James Suckling
96 Decanter
96+ Wine Advocate
97 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(1/2018) "The highlight in this range, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Volcanic Hill is the biggest and most dramatic of these wines. It is also the wine in this range that plays more true to type. An exotic mélange of crème de cassis, crushed rocks, menthol, licorice, liquefied rocks and blueberry jam run through this sumptuous, full-bodied Cabernet. Diamond Creek fans will flip out over the 2014, as it captures all the signatures of this great site and yet won't take years (or decades) to be at its best. Today, the Volcanic Hill is super impressive, not to mention flat-out delicious."

Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Proprietary Red 2015

98 Wine Advocate
(12/13/2018) "The 2015 Insignia Proprietary Red Wine is blended of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Malbec aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it opens with stunning black and red plums, cassis and mulberries scents with loads of redcurrant sparks and compelling wafts of lilacs, pencil shavings, black olives and tilled soil plus a hint of bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate explodes with red and black currant fireworks plus some exciting mineral nuances coming through, framed by firm, grainy tannins and fantastic freshness, finishing very long and beautifully layered. Drink Date: 2022 - 2052."

Diamond Creek "Red Rock Terrace" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

97 James Suckling
96+ Wine Advocate
95 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(1/2018) "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Rock Terrace is surprisingly open for a young Diamond Creek Cabernet. Super-ripe red cherry, pomegranate and plum fruit give the wine quite a bit of near and medium-term appeal. Expressive floral and spice notes add brightness to this decidedly gracious, almost sensual, Cabernet. The purity of the bright, red-toned fruit is striking. Refined and silky the 2014 will drink well with minimal cellaring."
