Patria "Avoyelles" Oakville Ranch Napa Valley Proprietary Red 2016

97 Wine Advocate
(10/29/2018) "The 2016 Oakville Ranch Avoyelles is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, co-fermented and aged 19 months in 100% new French oak. It has a deep garnet-purple color and comes bursting forth with vibrant red cherries, redcurrants and blackberries plus touches of cedar chest, red roses, cinnamon stick and pencil lead with a hint of spearmint. The palate is full-bodied and packed full of juicy red berries and perfumed layers with a solid backbone of ripe, fine-grained tannins and a wonderfully vibrant finish. 100 cases produced. Drink 2021 - 2039."

Patria "Avoyelles" Oakville Ranch Napa Valley Proprietary Red 2015

96+ Wine Advocate
98 Jeb Dunnuck
(12/29/2017) "A more classic Cabernet Franc-dominated blend that includes 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Petit Verdot, the 2015 Avoyelles is a sensational red from Tony Biagi. It's a rich, full-bodied effort with a saturated purple color and notes of blue fruits, liquid violets, flowers and crushed rock minerality. This beauty has incredible intensity, sweet, fine-grained tannin, and blockbuster length, all making for a sensational Cabernet Franc that could very well have 30+ years of longevity."

Robert Mondavi "To Kalon Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

95 Wine Advocate
(12/30/2016) "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve To Kalon is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep ruby/purple-colored, notes of sweet crème de cassis, blackberry, charcoal and toast are present in the subtle but intense aromatics. The wine is full-bodied and classically crafted, building incrementally on the palate and displaying full-bodied richness, sweet tannin, and a potential to age for 25-30 + years. This is a beauty. Drink Date 2016 - 2048."

Kosta Browne "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2016

96 James Suckling
93 Wine Spectator
95+ Jeb Dunnuck
(6/5/2018) "The 2016 Pinot Noir Gaps Crown comes from a great, great site on the Sonoma Coast and saw 15% whole clusters and 40% new wood. It's a deep, rich, blacker fruit-driven effort that shows more and more savory, iron, and earthy notes with time in the glass. It's ripe and opulent on the palate, with building tannin, yet packs a wealth of fruit and texture, while still showing the more elegant, balanced style of the vintage."

Domaine Vincent Paris "La Geynale" Cornas 2013

93 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
91+ Wine Advocate
(11/18/2015) "As normal, the 2013 Cornas la Geynale is the most structured, tannic and age-worthy in the lineup. Coming from the Geynale and Reynard lieux-dits, and fermented with 100% whole clusters, it spent 18 months all in two- to eight-year-old barrels. Its inky purple, mostly opaque color gives way to masculine (classic Cornas!) notes of crushed rocks, charcoal, wood smoke and plums. Big, medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and with plenty of tannin, it needs 2-4 years of cellaring and will drink well for a decade after that."

Chateau Saint Cosme "Le Claux" Gigondas 2016

99-100 Jeb Dunnuck
(10/19/2017) "The 2016 Gigondas Le Claux has slightly more mid-palate depth compared to the Hominis Fides, yet is also more tannic and structure. Damp clay, forest floor, currants spice and huge minerality all soar from the glass and this full-bodied beauty has an unctuous texture that's currently hiding serious amounts of tannin. Forget bottles for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 15+."

Chateau Saint Cosme "Hominis Fides" Gigondas 2016

Jeb Dunnuck calls this "one of the greatest Gigondas ever made!" Amazing!
100 Jeb Dunnuck
(9/26/2018) "One of the more backward and structured wines in the vintage is unquestionably the 2016 Gigondas Hominis Fides, which is 100% Grenache from a sandy, limestone site just across the street from the Le Claux vineyard. As always, it was not destemmed and was brought up all in barrel. Its inky purple color is followed by an extraordinary bouquet of blackcurrants, roasted garrigue, scorched earths, graphite, and an incredible sense of minerality (both in the aromatics as well as on the palate). Deep and powerful, with awesome intensity, it still stays ethereal and elegant, with no hard edges, polished tannins, a stacked mid-palate, and a blockbuster finish. A huge wine that never puts a foot wrong, this is one of the greatest Gigondas ever made! Don't miss it."

Chateau Troplong Mondot St. Emillion 2015

96 Decanter
97 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(12/2017) "One of the stars of the vintage, the 2015 Troplong Mondot has come together beautifully over the last year and half. Rich and sumptuous to the core, it is a classic wine from this property, built on serious fruit density and textural richness. Dark red cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather and spice are some of the many notes that build as the 2015 shows off its irrepressible personality. A viscerally exciting, resonant wine, it just needs a few years to shed some of its baby fat. Tasted two times. Drinking window: 2025 - 2040."

Ruinart "Dom Ruinart" Blanc de Blancs Champagne 2004

95 Wine Spectator
95 James Suckling
97 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(11/2014) "The 2004 Dom Ruinart is just as brilliant and viscerally thrilling as it has always been. If anything, the 2004 has shut down considerably over the last six months. Tightly coiled and exceptionally beautiful, the 2004 boasts fabulous intensity, class and pedigree. The flavors are vibrant, chiseled and crystalline in their precision. Time in bottle is doing wonders for the 2004. This is a tremendous showing. Disgorged June 2013."

Cayuse "God Only Knows" Armada Vineyard Walla Walla Valley Grenache 2013

94 Wine Advocate
(6/2016) "Grenache seemed to handle the heat nicely in 2013 and the 2013 Grenache God Only Knows Armada Vineyard offers a gorgeous, rich, almost masculine style (especially when it's tasted next to the No Girls Grenache) in its dark fruits, crushed herbs, mineral and leather scented profile. Even showing a touch of game with time in the glass, this beauty has fine tannin, plenty of fruit and a great finish, all suggesting it will drink nicely for another decade."
