Bodegas El Nido "Clio" Jumilla 2016

92+ Our Score
(11/2018) Big, beautiful and voluptuous, the 2016 Clio is a glass-staining purple in color with a nose that exhibits blackberry, blueberry, black cherry and spicy wood tones. The palate is full, rich and explosive with flavors of black and red fruits plus a bit of smoky bacon. The warm and concentrated palate is wonderfully inviting. There's a reason this wine has such a cult following. If you like powerfully fruity, smooth and dense wines, this is for you!

Cave de Bissey Cremant de Bourgogne Brut NV

90 Our Score
(12/2018) Our favorite Cremant is back! Blending 60% Aligote with 30% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, this latest bottling of Cave de Bissey, from the Burgundy region of France, packs a lot of flavor and finesse. Super fresh and lively, it explodes on the palate with concentrated flavors of orchard and citrus fruits along with a hint of butter cookie and white floral notes. A crazy amount of complexity, polish, balance and flavor for the price!

Charles Smith "Substance" Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

92 Wine Advocate
93 Jeb Dunnuck
(4/5/2018) "The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon was vinified in tank before being pressed to barrel where it went through malo. Aged 13 months in barrels, its vibrant purple color is followed by a terrific bouquet of blueberries, cassis, scorched earth, and spice. Deep, rich, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, this is the real deal, ladies and gentlemen, and it's a no-brainer purchase. Just pretend you paid three times the price. Maturity: 2018 - 2025."

Chateau D'Aiguilhe Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux 2015

Check out the mouthwatering review for this lush bottling from Count Stephan von Neipperg!

92 Jeb Dunnuck
(11/30/2017) "Moving to the red and made from 80% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Chateau D'Aiguilhe is also brilliant and well worth seeking out. Sporting a vibrant ruby/purple color as well as gorgeous notes of black raspberries and blue fruits, violates, bouquet garni, and spring flowers, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, bright acidity, and firm tannin, all of which give it a masculine feel, despite having plenty of upfront fruit. This is a beautiful Cotes de Castillon that will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring and keep for a decade or more."

Chateau Juvenal "Les Ribes du Vallat" Ventoux Rouge 2016

The price-to-deliciousness ratio on this Philipe Cambie-produced, certified-organic gem is astounding!
93 Jeb Dunnuck
(10/2017) "Even better and one of the best values I've seen in a long time, the 2016 Ventoux Les Ribes du Vallat checks in as a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah brought up all in stainless steel. It offers a huge nose of garrigue, saddle leather, rare meat and loads of blackcurrant fruit. With full-bodied richness, a ripe, decadent, opulent profile and no hard edges, it's a no-brainer purchase and ideal for drinking over the coming 2-4 years."

Chateau Troplong Mondot St. Emillion 2015

96 Wine Advocate
99 Jeb Dunnuck
98 James Suckling
96 Wine Enthusiast
97 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(12/2017) "One of the stars of the vintage, the 2015 Troplong Mondot has come together beautifully over the last year and half. Rich and sumptuous to the core, it is a classic wine from this property, built on serious fruit density and textural richness. Dark red cherry, plum, chocolate, new leather and spice are some of the many notes that build as the 2015 shows off its irrepressible personality. A viscerally exciting, resonant wine, it just needs a few years to shed some of its baby fat. Tasted two times. Drinking window: 2025 - 2040."

Domaine des Cotes Blanches Sancerre Blanc 2017

90+ Our Score
(8/2018) Bang-for-the-buck and Sancerre are not terms that are often used together. Due to our direct import relationship with the Millet family, their Cotes Blanches is a rare exception. With tantalizing flavors of pink grapefruit, tangerine, green apple and guava, this 2017 Sancerre is a totally delicious wine. A few swirls bring out even more nuance, including green bell pepper tones and a core of salty chalk. The bright and super lively finish makes this a bottle you can't put down, with or without food.

Domaine Sigalas Santorini Assyrtiko 2017

93 Wine Advocate
95 Wine & Spirits
(8/2018) "This assyrtiko may not be as powerful as Sigalas's single-vineyard bottlings, but the 2017 excels in the simple joy and purity it transmits. It's a liquid landscape of Santorini, from the clean, salty scent of a white-sand beach to the blinding brightness of the white limed buildings, telegraphed here in sunny, pithy lemon flavors. It feels minimalist and yet dynamic, thirst-quenching and vital."
