Kendall Jackson "Vintner's Reserve" California Chardonnay 2016

91 Wine Enthusiast
89 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(1/2018) "The 2016 Chardonnay Vintner's Reserve is very pretty. Orange blossom, tropical fruit, honey and buttery notes are nicely delineated in this attractive, mid-weight Chardonnay. Kendall-Jackson has toned down the malolactic fermentation and now works in a style that emphasizes freshness while also reducing the residual sugar that was once such a signature of this wine. I am not sure which stat is more impressive: an annual production of nearly 3 million bottles or the fact that 75% of the fruit for the Vintner's Reserve is estate. Drinking window: 2018 - 2022."

Gryphon Crest Mosel-Saar-Ruwer Riesling 2016

89 Our Score
90 Wine Enthusiast
(2/2018). "A blend of fruit from both the Saar and the middle Mosel (vineyards surrounding Piesport and Bernkastel) this lovely value Riseling darts and dances on the palate with Margarita-like kicks of salt and lime. Just a shade off dry, its delicate sweetness lends balance to zesty acidity and a cool, mineral finish. Best Buy."

89 Our Score
92 Wine Enthusiast
(4/2018) "This wine from Matchbook has been improving steadily over recent vintages and now it's taken a big step toward more finesse and less flash. A very soothing mouthfeel and generous, but not overt, flavors make a great combination in this creamy, yummy and full-bodied wine. It has everything from toasty oak and lemon curd to mild marzipan nuances that interlace with good acidity for a balanced palate and a lingering finish."

Le Paradou Grenache 2016

90 Wine Advocate
(4/28/2017) "The Le Paradou label is a joint venture between the Ventoux's Chateau Pesquie Chaudiere family and importer Eric Solomon. The 2016 Vin de France, which has already been bottled, is 100% Grenache and comes from vines in the Ventoux and the Roussillon's Agly Valley. It was brought up all in concrete tank. Deep ruby colored, with awesome notes of garrigue, pepper, kirsch and dark fruits, this beauty hits the palate with medium to fullbodied richness, no hard edges and a great finish. It sells for a song and way over-delivers."

Susana Balbo "Crios" Torrontes 2017

92 James Suckling
(3/27/2018) "Quite a citric torrontes that has some passion fruit and lychee notes, too. There's a great interplay of fruit, yeasty character (this gives just a hint of creaminess) and crisp acidity. Quite a long, mineral finish. 50% Uco Valley and 50% Cafayate. Drink now. Screw cap."

90 Wine Enthusiast
(3/2018) "Vibrant blackberry aromas leap from the glass on this bottling, which also offers anise, violet and dried meat aromas. The palate combines smashed black currants with black pepper and violets, wrapped together by serious tannins. Best Buy"

(9/1/2018) "Best Buy - Delicious cherry and plum flavors are accented by touches of black tea, rhubarb and forest floor in this complex, medium-bodied wine. It's slightly soft in feel, but has light tannins and enough acidity to give it some snap."

Cape Point Vineyards "Noordhoek" Cape Town Sauvignon Blanc 2017

91 Vinous, Neal Martin
(8/2018) "The 2017 Noordhoek Sauvignon Blanc, from the Cape Point estate, carries the new name for what was hitherto Cape Point Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc. As such, it has the "Cape Town" Wine of Origin designation. This comes from selected parcels on the estate, blended with 3% Semillon, and saw eight months lees contact. The bright, vivid bouquet features fresh green apple, kiwi fruit and Conference pear aromas that are well defined. The palate is well balanced with bright fresh green apple, pear, gooseberry and light citric notes, a fine bead of acidity and good length on the finish. Very fine. Drink now and over the next five or six years. Drinking Window: 2018 - 2026."

91 Wine Spectator
91 Vinous, Neal Martin
(11/2018) "The 2017 Sauvignon Blanc has a vigorous bouquet of grass clippings and crushed stone, just a hint of white asparagus in the background lending complexity. The taut. Linear palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, then fans out towards the finish with crisp Granny Smith and gooseberry notes. Excellent."
