Quinta Vesuvio Vintage Port 2011

New low price! Regular Vin Chicago retail - $84.99!
94 Vinous, Stephen Tanzer
98 Wine Spectator
(2/28/2014) "An elegant style, full of well-spiced, juicy flavors of raspberry, boysenberry and blueberry that extend with lively acidity and well-integrated tannins. Unctuous and succulent on the finish, which oozes with molten chocolate. Best after 2025. 1,250 cases made."

Dancing Hares "Mad Hatter" Napa Valley Proprietary Red 2013

New low price! Regular Vin Chicago retail - $64.99!
94 Wine Advocate
(12/2015) "The 2013 Proprietary Red Mad Hatter, 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot, is a big-time winner. It has a gorgeously deep ruby/purple color, a sweet kiss of licorice, blackcurrants, black cherries, camphor and incense. The wine is fragrant, with supple tannins, an opulent lushness and a total hedonistic and intellectual turn-on. Drink it over the next 10-12 years."

94 Vinous, Ian D'Agata
98 James Suckling
(10/20/2017) "I love the polish and complexity to this red. It delivers subtle currant, dried herb and spice character as well as a full body that is tight and focused. Such polished tannins. It goes on for minutes. One of the best vintages in years!"

Fattoria Galardi "Terra di Lavoro" Campania Rosso 2015

New low price! Regular Vin Chicago retail - $49.99!
96 James Suckling
95 Wine Advocate
(12/7/2018) "The 2015 Terra di Lavoro is a blend of 80% Aglianico and 20% Piedirosso, although you most certainly get herbaceous or pyrazine-driven aromas of green spice and bitter coffee that recall the Cabernet family. Beyond those more pointedly aromatic components, the bouquet offers spice, sweet tobacco, blackberry fruit and dried cherry. The vines are now aged from 16 to 26 years old, and they are located at 450 meters above sea level in the volcanic soils of the extinct Roccamonfina volcano. This was a hot vintage that offers exuberant and opulent fruit, followed by structure and soft tannins. Some 30,000 bottles were produced. Drink 2019 - 2035."

Pasanau "Ceps Nous" Priorat 2014

New low price! Regular Vin Chicago retail - $15.99!
90 Wine Advocate
(10/2016) "The peppery and fresh 2014 Ceps Nous is a blend of 70% Garnacha, 21% Merlot and 9% Syrah from young vines produced in a fresh and fruit-driven style. It fermented in stainless steel and matured in used French oak barrels for some four to six months. It's 15.4% alcohol but quite juicy and balanced, and the alcohol is not noticeable, although it's clearly not a shy wine. Very good in its style. There are 25,000 bottles produced, of which half were bottled in May 2016."

Chateau d'Or et de Gueules "Les Cimels" Costieres de Nimes 2013

New low price! Regular Vin Chicago retail - $13.99!
89 Our Score
89 Wine Advocate
(3/2016) "The 2013 Les Cimels Costières de Nîmes offers tons of character in its olive tapenade, peppery herbs, mint and currant-laced bouquet. Medium-bodied, polished, fruit forward and downright hard to resist, it should drink nicely for 3-4 years. The blend is the standard 60% Syrah, 30% Carignan and 10% Grenache and it's always aged all in concrete tanks. Drink Date 2016 - 2020."
