Emile Beyer Alsace Pinot Blanc 2017

90+ Our Score
(11/2018) According to Christian Beyer, the 14th generation of his family to work in the region, this 2017 Pinot Blanc is the best they've bottled since 2010. A blend 60% Auxerrois and 40% Pinot Blanc, made exclusively from wild yeasts, it tastes of baked citrus and ripe orchard fruits including lemon, pear and yellow apple. The wine is exceptionally fresh, with wonderful balancing acidity and a long, medium-bodied finish. Delicious by itself, with autumn/winter soups or roast chicken.

Chateau Tauzinat L'Hermitage St. Emilion 2015

89 Wine Advocate
(2/21/2018) "The 2015 Tauzinat l'Hermitage is medium garnet-purple colored with a nose of crushed black plums and black berries with touches of earth and game. Medium to full-bodied, soft and expressive, it gives loads of fruit with spices coming through and finishes with good length. Drink Date: 2018 - 2030."

Gen del Alma "JiJiJi" Tupungato Chenin Blanc 2017

Searingly high acid will make you pucker up, but leave you wanting another sip!

88 Vinous, Stephen Tanzer
(7/2018) "Lemon-straw color with an unfiltered appearance. Aromas of pineapple, orange zest, ginger and crushed stone, plus a positive suggestion of oxidation that quickly dissipated. Bone-dry, salty wine with a tart lemon drop character, distinct minerality and some unabsorbed CO2. In an extremely austere style but shows more body than its 11.5% alcohol would suggest. Hipster sommelier alert: this one's for you. For all others: you've been warned."

Renwood "Premier" Amador County Old Vines Zinfandel 2015

92 Wine Enthusiast
(7/1/2018) "Editors' Choice - Smoky, charcoal aromas lead to rich, concentrated flavors of blueberry and dark chocolate in this full-bodied, well-structured wine. It has an intensity of black-fruit flavors and a density of fine-grained tannins that is rare for the variety and bodes well for improvement over time. Best after 2023."

Field Recordings "Hock" Central Coast White Blend 2017

90 Our Score
(3/2018) "Hock" is the newest edition to the every expanding Field Recordings line. This is Andrew's homage to traditional Alsatian Edelzwicker field blends. It is a zesty and snappy blend of 50% Gewurztraminer, 35% Pinot Gris and 15% Riesling. This is the type of wine that is meant to be drunk anytime with really any food. It has just the barest kiss of sweetness to round out the bright acid, with just enough fruit and floral tones to be thirst quenching & refreshing. This one screams to be drunk outside on a warm day. Be sure to keep a couple in your fridge all summer long.

Andrea Felici Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore 2017

91+ Our Score
(2/2019) Wow! So much concentrated goodness on this fresh, medium-bodied white from Italy's Marche region. Tasty ripe citrus and orchard fruit tones blend well with nuances of yellow flowers, salty chalk and wasabi. The medium-plus acidity is worked in so very skillfully. We love Verdicchio, and this one is a winner!
