(12/2020) This gorgeous 100% Nebbiolo sparkler from a single vintage (2018 for this batch) comes from Barolo producer Ettore Germano in Piedmont. Hand-harvested, the whole clusters are quickly pressed for freshness and to give that alluring pink color. Fresh and unique, it shows raspberry, cranberry, sour cherry and a hint of spice that finishes with zippy acid and a satisfying mouthfeel. You can sit and sip this beauty, but it also has a bit of tannin to make it an ideal food wine. Pair it with a spinach and strawberry salad, shrimp or roasted pork tenderloin.
