Famille Dutraive "Clos du Chapitre" Saint Amour 2017

92 Wine Advocate
(9/22/2018) "Bursting with scents of cherries, plums and dried flowers, the 2017 Saint-Amour Clos du Chapitre is medium to full-bodied, ample and velvety, with a sweet core of fruit, melting tannins and a taut, stony finish. This is a new bottling for the Famille Dutraive label and comes warmly recommended."

Famille Dutraive "Lieu dit En Papolet" Chenas 2016

92 Our Score
92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(2/2018) "Vivid ruby. Aromas of fresh dark fruits, candied flowers and smoky minerals, along with an exotic Moroccan spice nuance in the background. Chewy and nicely concentrated, offering focused black raspberry, boysenberry and bitter cherry flavors that tighten up steadily on the back half. Shows very good energy and finishes spicy and very long; dusty tannins sneak in steadily to frame the lingering dark fruit. Drinking window: 2022 - 2028."

Familie Dutraive Chiroubles 2017

Familie Dutraive is the label of Jean-Louis Dutraive in collaboration with his children. The grapes are sourced from trusted growers. This bottling from the cru of Chiroubles is a real knock-out in a vintage where the crops were ravaged by hail. Only a few cases available and then it's gone for good!

Pax Wine Cellars Sonoma Coast Gamay 2016

91 Our Score
91 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(3/2017) "The 2016 Gamay (Sonoma Coast) is superb. Bright, deep and fleshy, the 2016 makes a strong first impression with its super-expressive bright red-toned flavors. The 100% whole clusters add striking nuance throughout. The Pax Gamay is made from vines in Castelli-Knight Ranch, the first Gamay planted on the Sonoma Coast. It will be interesting to see how this wine develops in future vintages. The 2016 is hugely promising."

Martin Woods "Havlin Vineyard" Willamette Valley Gamay Noir 2017

92 Our Score
(3/2019) This incredible Gamay comes from the Havlin Vineyard, which sits right in the path of the Van Duzer winds. Constantly buffeted by these cooling winds, the grapes develop much thicker skins, resulting in a more structured, intense wine. This is a serious Gamay with loads of power and depth that could go head to head with the best Crus of Beaujolais, yet remains distinctly Oregonian.

Domaine de L'Ecu "Astra" Vin de France Gamay 2016

90 Our Score
(8/2018) Made in collaboration with Domaine Landreon-Chartier in the Coteaux de la Loire, this single-vineyard Gamay was biodynamically farmed, hand-picked, and macerated for 10 days with native yeast without filtration or added sulphites and aged 9 months in amphorae. The result is a juicy and fruit-forward Gamay with a generous cherry and plum character with under a delicate layer of red flowers and spice. Ready to be thoroughly enjoyed from now until 2021.

Domaine Lapalu "La Croix de Rameaux" Brouilly 2015

91 Our Score
93 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(12/2017) "Deep ruby. A wild, expansive bouquet displays ripe cherry and blackberry scents complicated by suggestions of candied flowers, smoked meat and spicecake. Sweet and broad on the palate, offering intense black and blue fruit flavors that tighten up and become spicier on the back half. Smoothly plays power off finesse and finishes with outstanding persistence and youthful tannic grip. Drink: 2021 - 2027."

Jean-Paul Thevenet "Vieilles Vignes" Morgon 2017

95 James Suckling
94 Wine Advocate
(9/22/2018) "The 2017 Morgon Vieilles Vignes is superb, wafting from the glass with notes of red cherries, cassis, candied peel and raw cocoa. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety, with juicy acids, a deep core of fruit and refined tannins. Thevenet routinely produces one of the most elegant, classy expressions of Morgon, and the 2017 vintage is no exception. In ideal conditions, this will develop in bottle for a decade or more."
