Domaine Alain Chavy "Les Folatieres" Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru 2015

94 Wine Spectator
96 Wine & Spirits
(4/2018) "Alain Chavy's cellar is unusually deep for Puligny, 18 feet underground, providing a cold delay to the start of malolactic fermentation, lengthening the slow evolution of this wine in 228-liter barrels and 400-liter puncheons. Chavy inoculates his fermentations, and lets the wine rest with little lees stirring, creating a Puligny with clarity and energy. Not to mention the most glorious, floral buzz. That scent only gets more inviting and seductive as the wine opens over the course of several days, its flinty reduction turned away from the shadows toward the sun. It's worth the price of admission just to smell this wine, and it should reward long cellaring."

Domaine Francois Mikulski Meursault 2014

94 Our Score
(4/2018) This incredibly beautiful, intense and complex Meursault comes from about half a dozen parcels that cover roughly 1.5 hectares. The vines, on average 35 years old, are farmed using organic practices and only yield about 750 cases of wine annually. Ripe apple and pear flavors blend beautifully with citrus and mineral notes. Already delicious to drink now, the wine will certainly get better over the next 3 to 7 years. Enjoy this with butter poached lobster, roasted chicken with cream sauce and morel mushrooms, or any other rich and heavenly fish or poultry dish you can dream up.

Coessens "Largiller" Blanc de Noir Brut Aube 2013

94+ Our Score
(11/2018) Jerome farms a total of 3.36 hectares in Ville-sur-Arce in the most southerly portion of Champagne, the Aube. From selected parcels of his monopole cru of Largilliers, this is a vintage wine (though not indicated as such) coming all from the 2013 harvest. Though the soil and location are more akin to Chablis than Champagne, the climatic conditions that favor Jerome's signature grape, Pinot Noir. Any extra grapes are sold to the legendary Jacques Selosse. This is a spellbinding, singular Champagne of huge impact. "Stunner" and "Profound" graced our tasting notes. It is ripe, with balanced red-tinged fruit balanced out by a sexy, smoky gunflint and saline mineral edge. There is an intense, waxy, weighty mouthfeel that is reminiscent of still whites from the Rhone. Pulsing with natural, vital energy and lifted by a chiseled, chalky verve that screams Champagne (or Chablis!). This is unique Champagne that would pair perfectly the richest preparation of scallops imaginable.

Donnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Spatlese 2017

99 James Suckling
(9/19/2018) "Most people who drink wine know what a ripe peach tastes like. However, this wine gives you a completely new appreciation of the meaning of the word "peach". Beyond that, it possesses subtlety that is extremely rare anywhere in the world of food and wine. From organically grown grapes. Fair'n Green certification. Absolutely delicious now, but could be held for decades."

Hartford Court "Stone Cote" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2015

Only 476 cases produced of this stunning Chardonnay from a small, rather remarkable parcel in the Durell Vineyard...
98 Jeb Dunnuck
(6/5/2018) "From blocks in the Durrell vineyard (the parcel is rolled river rocks soils), the 2015 Chardonnay Stone Cote Vineyard offers a medium gold color as well as a sensational bouquet of ripe, caramelized citrus, crushed rocks, tangerine, and marine/seashell-like aromas and flavors. Aged 16 months in 37% new French oak, it's deep, rich, and thrillingly textured, with bright, juicy acidity keeping it vibrant and focused. It's a stunning Chardonnay to drink over the coming decade."

Domaine Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin "Vaudesir" Grand Cru Chablis 2015

93+ Our Score
90-92 Burghound
(10/2016) "This is one of the freshest wines in the range and with good Chablis character in the form of oyster shell, iodine, sea breeze and ripe floral scents. There is impressive richness to the very generously proportioned medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a powerful, mildly austere and solidly persistent finish. Oddly for Vaudésir this is almost rustic at present though this may change with a few years of bottle age."

Mount Eden Vineyards "Estate" Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay 2014

96 Wine Advocate
(5/31/2018) "The 2014 Chardonnay Estate from Mount Eden is terrific, offering up a youthful bouquet of buttered apples, pear, toasted nuts and brioche that reveals more and more nuance as it sits in the glass. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, pure and racy, with a satiny attack, deep core and bright acids. The finish is long and mouthwateringly chalky. This is one of the best recent releases of the Estate Chardonnay, and it comes warmly recommended. Drink 2019 - 2034."

St.Urbans-Hof "Goldtropfchen" Piesporter Ausleses Riesling 2015

95 Wine Spectator
(12/31/2016) "Plush and fruity, with concentrated red peach, melon and apricot tart flavors that are layered with plenty of rich, spicy notes. Plush creaminess lingers with unctuous honeyed accents on the finish. Drink now through 2028. 200 cases made."

Benjamin Leroux Puligny Montrachet 2011

94 Our Score
(4/2018) This seven-year-old Puligny-Montrachet from superstar winemaker Benjamin Leroux is drinking brilliantly. With a deliciously dense and creamy mouthfeel, this perfectly aged white Burgundy offers tremendous minerality and flavor along with a finish that goes on and on and on. We love the mature fruit flavors of baked apple, honey-glazed pear and preserved lemon along with salted Marcona almond, citrus blossom, chalk and rocky-clay earth tones. The acidity is brisk and balancing, resulting in a wine that will work well at the table with anything from roast chicken to grilled salmon. Sourced from three different vineyards, averaging 40 years of age, Leroux used only indigenous yeasts for fermentation before aging in 300-liter barrels, 15% of which were new. It is totally drinkable now, especially with a good decanting, and will keep nicely for another 5-7 years.

Cattier Brut Antique NV

"Definitely something special. This Champagne has riper fruit, a richer texture and longer finish than most non-vintage bottlings, with a soft, lush mouthfeel and subtle, seductive flavors. Delicious, and reasonably priced."
