Chateau Saint Cosme Condrieu 2016

93 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(5/2018) "Light green-hued yellow. Powerful, mineral-accented orchard and pit fruits on the nose, joined by a suave floral nuance as the wine stretches out. Sappy, penetrating and seamless in texture, offering vibrant tangerine, Anjou pear and white peach flavors and a sneaky hint of tarragon. Shows excellent focus and nervy, mineral cut on the finish, which lingers with outstanding tenacity. Drinking Window: 2019 - 2023."

Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe "La Crau" Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2016

(10/2017) "Slightly fresher than the La Roquete release (I always taste this cuvee after the la Roquete which is also made by the Brunier family), the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc gives up lots of lemon and grapefruit characteristics as well as a terrific, salty minerality that makes you salivate. Medium to full-bodied, tight, fresh and clean, it needs 2-3 years of bottle age and will singe for 2 decades or more. As with the 2015, it's a candidate for the finest white made at this estate."

Domaine Auguste Clape Saint Peray Blanc 2016

92 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(2/2018) "Pale yellow. Expressive aromas of fresh orchard fruits, melon and white flowers are sharpened by a subtle citrus zest nuance. Sappy and sharply focused on the palate, offering pear nectar and honeydew flavors and a touch of dusty minerality. Finishes with firm mineral cut and strong persistence, leaving a sexy floral note behind. Clape produces a small quantity of Saint-Péray that, in the past, was made entirely from 40+-year-old Marsanne vines planted in a single 0.25-hectare plot. Roussanne, in the form of mostly younger vines, has been steadily introduced into the blend following the 2014 purchase of another vineyard, to the point that it now makes up about 20% of the wine. The Clape Saint-Péray is fermented in concrete and large neutral oak barrels before resting in stainless steel tanks for eight or nine months before bottling. It goes through malolactic fermentation because, as Pierre Clape told me, they "want the wine to be shapely, not sharp. 80% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne"

Domaine de la Janasse Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2017

(8/31/2018) "A blend of 40% Grenache Blanc, 30% Clairette and 30% Roussanne, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc was bottled just a month before my visit. The Clairette and Roussanne mature in demi-muids, which gives this wine a round, expansive mouthfeel and rich texture. The ripe tangerine flavors gain focus on the long finish, picking up hints of citrus zest and brine, leaving behind a mouthwatering lasting sensation of freshness. Drink Date: 2018 - 2022."

Domaine Galevan Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2015

94 Wine Advocate
(10/28/2016) "A white that just blew me away was the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc from Madame Goumarre. This total blockbuster, which is made from 91% Grenache Blanc and the rest Roussanne, Clairette and Bourboulenc, offers sensational notes of white peach, pineapple, buttered citrus and hints of sauteed apples. Brought up all in new barrels, it shows plenty of toast and caramelized notes, but the quality of the fruit is brilliant. Rich, medium to full-bodied, concentrated and yet never heavy, with vibrant acidity, it's the best white from this estate to date. Don't miss it!"

Lively and focused on the palate, offering incisive orange zest, Anjou pear and ginger flavors and a touch of honeysuckle that gains strength as the wine opens up. In an elegant, seamless style, displaying impressive closing thrust, repeating florality and superb, mineral-tinged persistence."

Clos du Mont-Olivet Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2017

92 Wine Spectator
92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
92 Wine Advocate
(8/31/2018) "The richly tropical and full-bodied 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc incorporates seven different grape varieties, although 70% of the blend is Clairette and Roussanne. Honeyed pineapple spreads over the palate, then coalesces and sharpens into citrus zest on the long, crisp finish. Drink Date 2018 - 2025."

Domaine Senechaux Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2013

92 Our Score
92 Wine Advocate
(10/30/2014) "While the reds from this estate are well known, their 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc is also superb. Made from Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Bourboulenc and brought up in 75% stainless steel and 25% in barrels, it's a full-bodied, ripe, layered and voluptuously textured beauty that offers ample buttered citrus, peach and a distinct, saltiness that comes out with air. It's a smoking white to drink over the coming few years. Drink Date 2014 - 2018."

Domaine Chante Cigale Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2016

Amazing price for a CdP Blanc of such high quality. Typical retail is a very reasonable $37. At Vin Chicago's lowest-in-country price, this is a screaming deal!

93 Wine Advocate
(10/31/2017) "Completing a clean sweep of excellent ratings, the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a medium to full-bodied, plump, succulent blend of 25% each Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, 20% Clairette and 5% Picpoul Blanc, 70% of which was vinified and aged in stainless steel. Orange sherbet aromas give way to mixed citrus, but they're all backed by zesty, briny complexity and fabulous length."

From The Tank White Wine NV 3.0 LT

86 Our Score
(4/2018) The "From the Tank" line is a special project of high quality boxed wines from importers Jenny & Francois Selections. This 3L box is the equivalent of 4 regular bottles of wine and can be kept for up to 3 - 4 weeks after opening. Not to mention the packaging is extremely environmentally friendly, leaving a far smaller footprint than traditional bottles. The goal was to source the highest quality organic fruit from some of their producers and make friendly everyday wines that are simple, accessible and naturally made. The White is 100% Chardonnay sourced from Costieres de Nimes. The flavor profile is light and fresh, with just a touch of creamy texture. This is very easygoing and could fill a number of roles, from porch-pounding on a sunny afternoon, to big parties. This is well-made wine that just happens to come in a box. These are some of the best boxed wines on the market.
