Brooks Sparkling Riesling 2015

91 Our Score
90 Wine Enthusiast
(6/2018) "This is the first sparkling Riesling from Brooks, and it's a stunner. With dry, precise flavors, it's dominated by citrus rind notes and suggestions of rocks. It's penetrating and long, with lemon peel highlights throughout the finish."

Peter Lauer Brut Riesling Sekt 2012

92 Our Score
92 Vinous, David Schildknecht
(7/2016) "Sekt has a long tradition chez Lauer even if most of it was traditionally drunk at the family's restaurant; and to say that since Florian Lauer's arrival the family is getting more serious about this genre would be an understatement. (They're also taking advantage of recent legislation stipulating conditions under which German sparkling wine may be labeled "Crémant" rather than "Sekt.") Saar-typical apple and cherry are delivered in both fresh and distilled form on the penetrating nose, with yeast, apple pip, iodine and wet stone accents adding counterpoint and intrigue. The satiny underlying texture is allied to finely integrated mousse, and the long, refreshing finish adds alkaline and mouthwateringly saline notes to the already complex litany of nuances noted in the nose."

Les Vins Pirouettes Le Bubbles de Julien 2015

90 Our Score
Bubbles de Julien is 100% Riesling that is fully fermented and aged in tank for two years on the lees. The wine is bottled with zero sulfur, unfined and unfiltered, along with a dose of about 5% fresh grape must. This creates a secondary fermentation in the bottle that results in small, fine bubbles. The production is nerdy and technical, but all you need to know is to chill it down, pop it and chug it. Totally delicious and fun!

Ravines "Argetsinger Vineyard" Finger Lakes Sparkling Riesling 2013

93 Vinous, Kelli White
(7/2016) "Vibrant pale gold. Made in the methode Champenoise and kept on its lees for two years, this lovely wine combines the two things the Finger Lakes does best: Riesling and sparkling. For this vintage, 2013, no still Argetsinger Riesling was made, as winemaker Morten Hallgren thought that the balance of the fruit at harvest time was more befitting a sparkling style. The high-toned, aromatic nose offers scents of lemon rind, sea air, chalk, and a subtle floral accent. The palate is bracing but balanced, with terrific depth, persistent, medium-sized bubbles and a super long, salty finish. 15 grams per liter residual sugar. Disgorged March 2016. Drinking Window: 2016 - 2026."
