Jonata "Todos" Santa Ynez Valley Proprietary Red 2013

95 James Suckling
94 Wine Advocate
(8/30/2016) "The entry level 2013 Todos Proprietary Red Wine is a smokin' wine that's made from 78% Syrah, 15% Sangiovese, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Viognier, 1% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Merlot. Full-bodied, supple, elegant and concentrated, with impeccable balance, it offers lots of purple fruit characteristics, spice, dried flowers and underbrush aromas and flavors. It's one of the more approachable wines in the lineup, yet it will evolve for a decade or more on its purity and balance. Drink Date 2016-2026"

Whitcraft Winery "Stolpman Vineyard" Santa Ynez Grenache 2016

93 Wine Enthusiast
(2/2018) "Drake Whitcraft is becoming a master at weaving a wide array of sensory experiences into very light wines. This starts with candied pomegranate, fennel bulb and cracked white pepper on the nose, then hits the palate with bright snappy red fruits, heavy peppery spice and a penetratingly bright acid profile. It goes down easy, but with complexity."

Refugio Road "Vin Caprice Vineyard" Grenache 2016

91 Our Score
(8/2018) "Refugio Road" is back and man is it a stunner! This is a collaboration between Chicago distributor Steve Sullivan of Vinejoy and Angela Osborn, the leading lady behind the "A Tribute to Grace" line. Each year he picks a specific barrel to bottle under the Refugio Road label. It is sourced from a single-vineyard in the middle of nowhere in the Santa Ynez Valley (cell phones don't even work out there) and farmed biodynamically. This is one of Angela's personal vineyards. The palate is dense yet retains a youthful energy. Notes of smoked brisket, blood sausage, burnt oranges, garrigue and a meadow filled with wildflowers. Finishing with melted cranberries on blueberry pie crust. This is a very special bottle of wine.

Roark Wine Company Santa Ynez Valley Merlot 2015

91 Wine Enthusiast
91-92 Our Score
(9/2018) This is a pure, delicious expression of Merlot. A nose that is extremely open right now, offering notes of black cherry, milk chocolate, smoke, wakame seaweed. What is striking is the layered, progressive palate and has a perfect cleansing acidity. This shows off the intensity of 2015 nicely, while done with deft touch.

Land of Saints Santa Ynez Valley Merlot 2014

91 Our Score
(6/2017) Land of Saints wine company is a new project from Angela Osborne (A Tribute To Grace) and her husband Jason. The two are using Angela's previously established relationships to source single varietals from some incredible organically farmed vineyards. This is rustic powerful Merlot, with tons of grip and grit. The deep dark fruits remain gracefully and elegant, a trademark of Angela's. It can be rather brooding up front, and requires a bit of air to round out. We are very excited to offer this new line form one of our favorite Central Coast producers. She made 200 cases of this inaugural release.

Andrew Murray "Tous les Jours" Santa Ynez Valley Syrah 2016

90 Our Score
90 Wine Advocate
(9/29/2017) "The 2016 Syrah Tous les Jours sports a medium to deep garnet-purple color and leaps from the glass with vibrant raspberry coulis, black cherry and red currant notes with touches of baking spices and roses. The medium to full-bodied palate fills the mouth with spices and red and black fruits, framed by plush, rounded tannins and finishing on a peppery note. This is so different from the previous vintage of this wine and nicely done too! Drink Date: 2017 - 2021."
