Alto Moncayo Campo de Borja Garnacha 2015

93 Wine Advocate
95 Jeb Dunnuck
(3/1/2018) "The 2015 Alto Moncayo is knockout stuff and a solid step up over the 2012. Aged 22 months in 20% American oak Hogsheads and 80% in new French oak, its deep ruby/purple color is followed by terrific notes of black raspberries, framboise, toasted spices, and flowers. It has full body, sweet tannin, and a sexy, seamless, elegant style that just begs to be drunk. Maturity 2018 - 2026."

Bodegas Alto Moncayo "Veraton" Campo de Borja Garnacha 2015

93 James Suckling
92 Wine Spectator
93 Jeb Dunnuck
(3/1/2018) "The 2015 Alto Moncayo Veraton is the entry level effort yet offers serious bang for the buck. Made from 100% Garnacha from vineyards in Tabuenca and aged in a mix of French and American oak, it gives up terrific notes of blackberries, currants, toasted spices and dried flowers. Possessing beautiful purity of fruit, a full, layered mid-palate, integrated oak, and a great finish, it's a smoking good Grenache to enjoy over the coming 4-5 years."

Bodegas Borsao "Tres Picos" Campo de Borja Garnacha 2015

"My favorite value winery not only in Spain, but in the world, is Bodegas Borsao..." - Robert Parker, August 2016.
92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
91 Wine Advocate
(8/30/2016) "Even better, and clearly one of the greatest values in the wine world, is the 2015 Tres Picos. It is a large cuvée of 24,000 cases from 100% Grenache, fermented in both oak and steel and aged in French oak prior to being bottled. The vines come from a relatively high elevation of nearly 2,300 feet from a vineyard planted in 1956. This wine shows loads of classic Grenache characteristics, such as pepper, licorice, underbrush, Provençal herbs and a boatload of black cherries and raspberries. The wine is rich, medium to full-bodied, pure and luscious and hedonistic. Drink it over the next several years. Drink Date: 2016 - 2019."

Bodegas Borsao "Tres Picos" Campo de Borja Garnacha 2016

We've been selling this wine for nearly two decades, and it never fails to deliver. When it comes to soft, delightful, full-flavored reds to enjoy on just about any occasion, Tres Picos is at the top of the list!
92 James Suckling
91 Jeb Dunnuck
(3/1/2018) "A wine that over-delivers in just about every vintage, the 2016 Tres Picos is always 100% Garnacha from red/iron-laced soils, destemmed and brought up in French oak barrels. Raspberries, spice, dried flowers and potpourri notes all emerge from this juicy, front end-loaded, absolutely delicious red that has a touch of vanilla, medium to full-bodied richness, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 2-4 years."

Bodegas Breca "Breca" Old Vines Calatayud Garnacha 2014

91 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
90 Wine Advocate
(8/30/2016) "The 2014 Breca, which is 100% bush-vine Grenache planted 1900-1940, is another take on this fabulous grape that flourishes in many areas of Spain as well as Southern France. This wine spent 18 months sur lie in 500- to 600-liter French demi-muids. A deep ruby/plum color offers up notes of jammy strawberries, black cherries, raspberries, licorice, underbrush and lavender. It is deep, ripe, medium to full-bodied, heady (must be 14.5-15% natural alcohol) with a long, juicy finish. Drink it over the next 2-3 years."

Evodia Aragon Garnacha 2016

89 Wine Advocate
91 Jeb Dunnuck
(2/21/2018) "Another project between Eric Solomon and the Roussillon's Jean-Marc Lafage, the 2016 Evodia comes from higher elevation vineyards and is mostly Garnacha (there's 5% Syrah) aged in a mix of tank and demi-muids. This deep ruby/purple colored is a gorgeous, naked expression of Grenache that just knocks it out of the park. Blackberries, blueberries, pepper, licorice and hints of asphalt all emerge from this plump, sexy, opulent, and shockingly concentrated wine that has incredible charm and character. It's the best 10-dollar bottle of wine I've tasted in years."

Bodegas Breca "Garnacha de Fuego" Aragon Garnacha 2016

Jorge Ordoñez nails it again! A massively over-delivering red with a very slick gold-foil label.
90 Jeb Dunnuck
(3/1/2018) "Brought up in a mix of concrete and stainless steel, the 100% Garnacha 2016 Garnacha de Fuego offers a deep black/purple color to go with terrific notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, scorched earth, and melted licorice. Ripe, sexy and forward on the palate, with notable purity, it's a classic Garnacha to drink over the coming 5-6 years."

Bodegas Borsao Campo de Borja Garnacha 2017

88 Wine Advocate
(12/28/2018) "This is the most popular red from Borsao, and it's sold with different labels in different countries. It's mostly Garnacha but contains some Syrah and Tempranillo depending on the vintage, but it's still sold as 2017 Garnacha in some countries. 2017 was warm and dry and resulted in an early harvest with low yields of ripe and healthy grapes. It's a ripe and heady, grapey and straightforward unoaked red with juicy fruit and a sweet twist in the finish, easy to drink and very pleasant."
