Ridge "Monte Bello Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Proprietary Red 2015

98+ Vinous, Antonio Galloni
100 James Suckling
(11/3/2018) "Stunning depth, power, purity and elegance. The blackcurrants and plums are fresh and intense on the nose with blueberries and gently herbal notes, too. The palate has a keenly articulated array of vibrant tannins that hold long, fresh and pure. It invokes a sense of wonderment at the finish. So long and so pure. This blend of 77 per cent cabernet sauvignon, 11 per cent merlot, seven per cent petit verdot and five percent cabernet franc, is just at the start of a wonderful journey. Try from 2021."

Herman Story Wines "Larner Vineyard" Ballard Canyon Red 2014

96 Jeb Dunnuck
(8/10/2017) "From a site in Ballard Canyon (Santa Barbara County) and made from 52% Syrah and 48% Grenache, the 2014 Larner is another inky colored effort that reveal a fresh, lively perfume of flowers, blackberries, smoked meats and spice. Full-bodied, ethereally textured and seamless, with no hard edges and a seamless texture, it's another blockbuster from Russell that I'd be thrilled to drink anytime over the coming 4-6 years."

L'Aventure "Estate Cuvee" Paso Robles Red Blend 2016

99 Jeb Dunnuck
(11/29/2018) "A wine that flirts with perfection is the 2016 Estate Cuvee, which is 52% Syrah, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the balance Petit Verdot, all of which spent 15 months in new French oak. Deep ruby/purple-colored, with a masculine bouquet of creme de cassis, graphite, liquid rock-like minerality, and lead pencil shavings, it reminds me of a top 2010 Pomerol with its opulence, power, and purity. Hitting the palate with full body, a layered, seamless, multi-dimensional texture, and present yet polished tannins, this beauty is one of the finest examples of this cuvee yet produced. Give bottles 2-3 years and it will keep for 15+."

Kosta Browne Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2017

Winemaker's Notes
"Soft and elegant with aromas of lifted red fruits; rhubarb and sour cherry. Notes of lemon zest and creme fraiche. Compelling and bright with high energy. Structured, layered tannins backed with slight minerality. Thoughtful, layered oak undertone."

L'Aventure "Cote a Cote" Paso Robles Red Blend 2016

98 Jeb Dunnuck
(11/29/2018) "The 2016 Cote a Cote is blockbuster and one of the wines of the vintage. A blend of 55% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre, and the rest Syrah, brought up in a mix of 30% new French oak, 28% once used barrels, and the rest in amphora and concrete tanks, it offers a heavenly perfume of blueberries, blackberries, crushed violets, wild strawberries, ground pepper, and spring flowers. About as pure and seamless as it gets, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a multi-dimensional texture, no hard edges, and a huge finish. I finished my note on this wine with "Killer stuff!" You can drink this today or cellar it for 10-15 years."

Arnot-Roberts "Fellom Ranch" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

95 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(3/2017) "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Fellom Ranch, from a site in the Santa Cruz Mountains, is savory, deep and quite powerful. Dried herbs, sweet red cherry, flowers and mint open up nicely in the glass, but it is the wine's mountain structure and purity that stand out most. Even so, there is more than enough to the fruit to play off the tannins. All three 2014 Cabernets are superb, but the Fellom has perhaps just a bit more pedigree and complexity than the Clajeux and Montecillo. Drink 2022 - 2034."

Sea Smoke "Sea Spray" Blanc de Noirs Sta. Rita Hills 2014

If you are a fan of Blanc de Noirs bubbly, you must try this one!
Winemaker's Notes
"The Pinot Noir for this methode champenoise sparkling wine comes from specific blocks on our estate vineyard, which are picked early - before our regular pinot noir harvest begins. Sur lie aging in barrel and extended bottle aging en tirage add to the wine's complexity. Sea Spray is fresh and alive on the palate and finishes with impressive length."

Booker Vineyards "My Favorite Neighbor" Paso Robles Cabernet Blend 2016

96 Wine Advocate
97 Jeb Dunnuck
(11/30/2018) "The 2016 My Favorite Neighbor is made with the intent of competing with cult Napa Cabernet Sauvignon yet at a more maintainable $80 price point. Coming all from westside Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon, mostly on clay soils, and brought up all in French oak, I'm thrilled to say that it succeeds beautifully. This deep purple-colored beauty offers an incredible perfume of crème de cassis, blackberries, graphite, lead pencil, and ample crushed rock-like minerality. Showing more nuance and floral characteristics with time in the glass as well as full body, sweet tannins, and no hard edges, it's a sensationally rich and seamless Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles to drink over the coming decade."

Whitcraft Winery "Quinta del Mar" San Luis Obispo County Pinot Noir 2017

92 Our Score
(4/2019) The 2017 Quinta Del Mar Pinot Noir bottling comes from the southern tip of San Luis Obispo County. Of all of Drake's releases, it is the most fruit-driven in style with ripe cherries, strawberry and blood orange. The palate is very soft and round, making this so delicious and easy to drink. A good one to drink in it's youth while the Pence Ranch Pinots rest in the cellar.
