(4/27/2016) "More focused and elegant than the classic cuvee, the 2012 Faugeres Jadis is a similar blend yet substitutes Syrah in place of the Cinsault. Made from 50% Carignan, 30% Syrah and 20% Grenache that spent two years in barrels, it has a healthy purple color to go with lots of Carignan black and blue fruits, violets, leather, and licorice aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, elegant, layered and graceful, with ripe tannin, it too can be enjoyed anytime over the coming decade."

The fruit flavors are deep and dark, complimented by plenty of minerality, rocky earth, chocolate and smoked meat. With a soft and silky texture developed from half a decade in the bottle, this beauty is totally ready to drink!
