This wine is flat-out special, feeling rich and premium from the first second. $25 at the winery was already a deal. Must-try for the few fans of Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc out there!

(8/2019) Bill Easton is a bit of an eccentric as it comes to wine, and we love him for it. The name of this "Enigma" says it all, as the fact that this 8 year old white Rhone blend is obtainable as a currant vintage is strange on paper. This vintage's blend is 44% Marsanne, 29% Viognier and 27% Roussane. We were blown away by the complexity, freshness and above all UNCTUOUSNESS. Considering the price, this is almost incredibly textured. Notes of baked apple, apricot, peach preserves, almond butter, macademia nut, white florals and a nice tense, dry mineral finish. This is exceptional fall-weight white, or anytime for those who like very full-bodied creamy whites.
