De Wetshof "Limestone Hill" Robertson Valley Chardonnay 2018

90 Our Score
90 Wine Enthusiast
(5/1/2019) "A pale yellow color, this wine smells fresh, vibrant and inviting, with lively aromas of citrus, lemon-lime, yellow apple, green melon and a touch of mineral dust. Lightweight and well balanced, it has a bright acidic seam and fresh, zippy citrus and green apple tones, with hints of sea breeze and limestone minerality. Bright and sassy, this is well balanced and oh-so-easy to like and drink."

Catherine Marshall Elgin Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2017

91 Our Score
(12/2018) Our favorite South African Sauvignon Blanc is now in vintage 2017, and it's just as expressively delicious as past vintages have been. Sourced from sustainably farmed vines in the cool-climate growing region of Elgin, the 2017 gives tropical sub-tones to support the traditional "old world" Sauvignon flavors of lemon, green apple and nuanced green flavors. Lively acidity balances out the generous and long mouthfeel. Friendly enough to enjoy alone, this wine will also pair well with Thai food and crab legs. Delicious!

The Winery of Good Hope Stellenbosch Pinotage 2017

89+ Our Score
(6/2018) It's not often we feature a Pinotage, so we are quite excited to bring you this winner from The Winery of Good Hope. It is sourced from two vineyards, one of which is planted with old bush vines. The wine goes through a partial carbonic fermentation which allows for more fruit and less tannin, resulting in a very clean flavor profile. Look for loads of juicy mixed red berry fruits with a touch of the characteristic Pinotage notes of smoke and leather on the dry finish. If you haven't had a Pinotage in a while (or ever!), this very good example is a must-try!

This incredible value Chenin Blanc is bright, lively and very well balanced. Look for clean and pure fruit flavors of green apple, fresh yellow peach, green pear skin and a touch of honey that adds some richness to the refreshing finish. Always a smile-inducing winner that totally over-delivers!

Raats "Original" Unwooded Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc 2018

Raats is back!
90 Vinous, Neal Martin
(8/2018) "The 2018 Original Chenin Blanc comes from lower-sited vineyards, mainly on sandstone soils, and saw no wood contact. It offers straightforward, quite fragrant white flower and nectarine scents on the well-defined nose. The palate is well balanced with a pleasing citrus attack on the entry, followed by orange peel, a touch of peach skin and hints of elderflower toward the long, fresh finish. Very fine and a great value."
