Justin Dutraive "Les Bulands" Beaujolais Village 2017

Young vigneron Justin Dutraive, son of the famous Jean-Louis Dutraive, starting turning out his own wines in 2015. His own rise to fame is happening fast, but his wines are scarce. These are must-try's while we have them!
89 Wine Advocate
(9/22/2018) "Pretty aromas of cherries and raspberries introduce the 2017 Beaujolais Les Bullands, a supple, medium-bodied and open-knit wine with juicy acids, melting tannins and a succulent core of fruit."

Camille Giroud Bourgogne Rouge 2013

89+ Our Score
(5/2018) This delicious Bourgogne rouge leans on bright cherry and cranberry fruit, dusty tannins and freshness obtained by cooler vintages like 2013. Clocking in at a refreshing 12% alcohol, this is a great summertime red to pair with grilled chicken or veggie burgers.

C.G. Paris "Douby" Morgon 2015

89 Our Score
(4/2018) One of the more delicate renditions to come out of the 2015 vintage, C.G. Paris's Morgon bottling maintains a perfect balance between the ripe fruit of the vintage and the subtleties that lovers of his wines have come to expect. Pomegranates, fresh strawberries and black reiner cherries are wrapped in dusty fresh soil. What is truly impressive is that this clocks in at only 12% ABV, a rarity for the vintage. This is very charming and drinking wonderfully now.

Pierre Morey Bourgogne Aligote 2016

We were again stunned by this biodyanmically farmed Wasserman selection and took everything we could from our importer to offer at an outstanding price. Meursault fruit for less than $17, end of story.
89+ Our Score
(7/2019) What is critical to understand is that not all Aligote is simply an innocuous cheap acidic drink with which to make Kir. From a 1.86ha parcel of 50 year old vines in Meursault, comes this commendably complex, age-worthy example. Aligote's hallmark acidity is one of the leading factors in making substantial, old vine examples like this so underrated and capable of lasting in the cellar. Notes of tangy lemon, apple blossom, chalk and talc with a salty core feel alive in your mouth. Vitality is often underappreciated in wine. The finish is bright, incisive and long. This is a piercing wine built for dinner talbes. Though it has Meursault terroir, it is not a fleshy wine, nor is it draped in oak the way Chardonnay from that famous district oft-features. All stainless here. If you've enjoyed higher-level Aligote from Mikulski or Jobard - try this one too at a lovely price. Bring out the fish and chips and mix it into your rotation of Chablis and Muscadet. Go-Go-Aligote!

La Boutanche Vin de France Gamay 2017

89 Our Score
(5/2018) The Pig is back! Oliver Minot is now solidly at the helm of this Boutanche bottling, which is 100% Gamay from Southern Beaujolais. The juice comes from 70 year old vines planted on limestone soils. Cement tanks are used for fermentation and the wine is bottle with zero SO2. Fresh picked raspberries, black tea and freshly tilled soil notes abound. This eminently chuggable "zero" wine comes in 1 Liter bottles, which is a very good thing considering how delicious this little wine is.

Domaine Savary "Epineuils" Bourgogne Rouge 2015

89 Our Score
(3/2019) Francine and Olivier Savary make this authentic Pinot Noir from the sub-zone of Epineuil - a small Kimmeridgean and limestone soiled area near Chablis. Bright and appealing, this medium-weight Pinot offers dark fruit flavors along with a chalky/earthy mid-palate. This Kermit Lynch import normally sells for around $20 or more. We made a special buy and are passing the savings on to you.

Santini Freres "Ton Rouge" Coteaux Bourguignons 2015

89 Our Score
(6/2018) "Chris Santini is the office manager for Kermit Lynch's Burgundy office. What better way to learn the business of making the best "natural wines" one can find? Have you ever wanted to taste a blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir? That's exactly what Chris is blending up in this Coteaux Bourguignons, here under his Santini Freres negociant label based out of Auxey-Duresses. The 70/30 blend is lovely in a ripe even vintage like 2015, offering an abundance of crunchy red fruit, appealing earthy mushroom notes and savory herbal hints at the finish. A dry polished red with fresh acidity, light tannin and a fun charm begging to be chilled down for a summer picnic or outdoor concert. Charcuterie? Pork Chops? Bring it on!"

Pierre Morey Bourgogne Aligote 2014

We flipped for this biodyanmically farmed Wasserman selection and took everything we could from our importer, at very special pricing!
89+ Our Score
(05/2019) Not all Aligote are created equal. From a 1.86ha parcel of 50 year old vines in Meursault, comes this commendably complex, age-worthy example. Aligote's lights-out acidity is one of the leading factors in making substantial, old vine examples like this so underrated and capable of lasting in the cellar. Intriguing aromatics convey a "natural" origin, with notes of tangy lemon, apple blossom, chalk and talc. The finish is strikingly bright, incisive and long. This is a piercing food wine, and though it has Meursault terroir, it does not have the fleshiness or showy oak that Chardonnay from the district oft-features. If you've enjoyed higher-level Aligote from Mikulski or Jobard - try this one too at our tremendous pricing. Bring out the fish and chips and mix it into your rotation of Chablis and Muscadet. Go-Go-Aligote!

Domaine Dupeuble Beaujolais 2016

88 Wine Advocate
89 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(3/2018) Light bright red. Lively and focused on the nose and palate, displaying vibrant red berry and mineral qualities, along with a suggestion of musky earth. Taut, light-bodied and racy in style; a touch of orange zest adds a refreshingly bitter edge to the finish. This insanely easy-to-drink and weightless Beaujolais ought to be bottled exclusively in magnums for proper single-portion servings. Drinking Window: 2017 - 2020."
