(4/27/2018) "I had two vintages of the red Dido to taste, starting with the older 2015 Dido, a round, expressive and approachable year with good ripeness and some tannins. A substantial part of the vineyards are on granite soils, which provide mineral tension and some limestone that gives tastiness. It is open and approachable, from an easy, healthy year with higher than normal pH. Drink Date: 2018 - 2021."

(12/2018) Ideally situated at one of the highest points in Montsant, this family-owned winery only makes one wine - and it is all about quality over quantity. Their commitment can be seen at every level of the winemaking process. Grapes are hand-harvested, gently destemmed and carefully selected. The result is this wonderfully balanced, food-friendly red with flavors of dark berries, garrigue, gravelly minerality and bramble. Pair with your favorite charcuterie plate, roast duck or grilled pork chops.

(4/3/2019) "The finest vintage of this cuvee to date, the 2016 Mas Donis Old Vines is 85% Garnacha and 15% Syrah (the Grenache comes from a single parcel called Donis) that was 70% destemmed and aged primarily in concrete. Tasting like a top Priorat with its beautiful blue fruits, violets, ground pepper, rose petals, and amble minerality, it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, remarkable purity of fruit, and a great, great finish. Almost too good to be true, just pretend you paid more. Drink up."
