Deltetto "Clone 777" Langhe Pinot Nero 2016

90+ Our Score
(1/2019) This single-vineyard, single-clone Pinot Noir from the passionate Deltetto family of Roero was a great surprise! Clean, structured and quite pretty, it manages to be Burgundian in style while retaining a Piemontese flair. Notes of cherry, cranberry, blood orange and holiday spice are coaxed-out with aeration. Clean and dry with wonderful texture from its extremely fine tannins, this is a serious wine with no fat on its bones. The length and intensity indicate a wine that will evolve well in the bottle, if you happen to have that kind of patience! We were shocked at how well this affordable wine showed even after being open for a week!

G. D. Vajra Langhe Rosso 2016

90 Our Score
(12/2018) A delicious blend of 40% Barbera, 25% Dolcetto, 25% Nebbiolo and 10% Freisa. The bouquet bursts with blueberry, cherry and strawberry aromas, followed by herbal tones of anise and lavender. On the palate it is bright and fresh with the cherry really coming through. The finish is flowery, mineral-laden and utterly silky smooth.
