94 Jeb Dunnuck
98 James Suckling
(8/29/2018) "The trademark, old-vine-grenache offering of earthy notes with wild berries, herbs, flowers and spices. Wild. Hints of blood oranges and pink-grapefruit peel. Superb, expansive palate shape, all finesse and length. Super-fine, focused and elegant. Refined, regal and majestic. Peppery, bright, wild, red fruit, blood oranges and orange bitters. Decades ahead of this. Drink or hold."

Domaine Eric Forest "L'Ame Forest" Pouilly Fuisse 2016

93+ Our Score
(4/2019) Eric Forest is one of the most exciting growers in the Burgundian village of Vergisson. While his wines are of a singular style, they present a level of quality and power that compares favorably to substantially more expensive bottlings from Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. His "L'Ame Forest" PouillyFuisse is sourced from a pair of meticulously tended vineyards originally planted by Eric's grandfather in 1963. Embracing organic and biodynamic practices, Eric makes this wine, and all of his wines, entirely by hand. Decadent flavors of vanilla, crème brûlée, baked pear, yellow and green apple, and apricot are complemented by an abundance of chalk and clay mineral tones beneath the reserved surface. Burgundy lovers, this wine is nothing short of a bargain. Beautiful and impressive, it will drink wonderfully through 2025.

Clos du Mont-Olivet Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2017

92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds

(8/31/2018) "The richly tropical and full-bodied 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc incorporates seven different grape varieties, although 70% of the blend is Clairette and Roussanne. Honeyed pineapple spreads over the palate, then coalesces and sharpens into citrus zest on the long, crisp finish. Drink Date 2018 - 2025."

David Duband Bourgogne Rouge 2016

92 Our Score
(3/2019) Don't let the simple "Bourgogne" appellation fool you on this gorgeous red Burgundy from David Duband. The grapes that go into this wine are from 40-year-old vines located in Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-St. Denis. They are picked and sorted by hand and then fermented with 40% whole clusters. Gentle aging in French oak barrels, 30% which are new, lends to the silky and soft texture. The wine is clean and fresh red fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries, raspberry and pomegranate are accented by beautiful red floral tones and subtle oak spices. Elegant and totally delicious to drink, this beauty is priced right in the sweet spot for a red Burgundy of this quality.

91+ Our Score
91 Jeb Dunnuck
(4/3/2019) "Pretty, vibrant notes of white peach, white flowers, and salty minerality all emerge from the 2018 Prestige Rose. Made in a crisp, elegant style, it stays balanced and layered on the palate, and is going to be an incredibly versatile rose to drink over the coming 6-12 months. The blend is 60% Grenache and 40% Cinsault brought up all in tank."

Clos du Mont-Olivet "Vieilles Vignes" Cotes du Rhone Rouge 2016

Comte Leloup du Chateau de Chasseloir "Cuvee des ceps Centenaires" Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine sur Lie 2014

From the oldest parcel of vines in Muscadet, this remarkable 2014 is the current release from Chateau de Chasseloir!
92 Our Score
94 Wine & Spirits
(4/2019) "Part of the region's Cru Communaux, the Comte Leloup is 7.4 acres of vines that are more than 100 years old. Bernard Chéreau ferments the wine in stainless steel and ages it on the lees for ten months, followed by at least two years in bottle. The vines, growing in schist and slate, deliver fruit with smoky depths, the wine lasting on ripe peach, honeydew and bitter melon, all of its richness wrapped in juicy tart-apple freshness. It's broad and intense, floral and savory, a wine to decant for a roasted whole fish stuffed with fennel."

Chateau Saint-Roch "Chimeres" Cotes du Roussillon Villages Rouge 2015

93 Wine Advocate
(4/28/2017) "Giving up jammy notes of black raspberries, licorice, smoked herbs and chocolate, the 2015 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Chimeres (aged in demi-muid and concrete vates) needs to be snatched up by savvy readers. Full-bodied, deep and layered with incredible texture, I actually called this a mini SQN. I would gladly pay three to four times the going rate. Bravo! Drink Date 2017 - 2022."

Domaine Labbe Abymes Vin de Savoie 2018

89+ Our Score
(5/2019) This wine simply screams for a warm day on the patio! The Savoie region of eastern France sits right on the Swiss border. It is better known for skiing and cheese than it is for wine, but that should not be the case, as the wines here are fun and tasty as well as dense and impressive. This crisply textured, bone dry bottling comes from Abymes and is made entirely from the Jacquere grape. While only 11% ABV, the wine feels weighty and presents salted, mineral-laden apple and lemon flavors along with a long finish that expands with oxygen. A very cool white that packs more than the first few sips suggest.
