Camille Giroud Bourgogne Rouge 2015

91 Our Score
(3/2018) Famed Burgundy grower Camille Giroud has bottled a delicious Bourgogne Rouge in 2015. Delivering a combination of ripe red fruits and mineral tension, this wine drinks above its "entry level" appellation status. The fruit is mainly from Côtes de Beaune and it presents bright, plush cherry and black cherry tones; dusty, chalky-clay earth and powerful minerality. Comparable to many growers' more expensive appellation specific bottlings, this well-made Burgundy is worth every penny.

Jayer-Gilles Hautes Cotes de Beaune Blanc 2008

91+ Our Score
(6/2019) It is hard to believe this wine is 11 years old! A 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, this mature white Burgundy saw 50% new oak during its elevage. We tasted it recently at the importer's warehouse and were floored by its youthful freshness. Secondary flavors of honey and bruised pear are balanced by bright citrus, white rock minerality and balancing acidity. Very impressive.
