Lucien Crochet "La Chene Marchand" Sancerre 2016

93 Our Score
(7/2019) There are many growers with the name "Crochet" in the Sancerre region of France's Loire Valley. None have the reputation of Lucien, a relatively small Domaine imported by Neal Rosenthal for over 35 years. This bottling, from the famed single "Le Chene Marchand" cru, is like the very best Sancerre bottlings. It delivers citrus fruits, flavors of chalky minerality and a high acid finish, but it does all of these subtly...elegantly. The drinker is greeted with sublime texture and richness and concentration of flavor that nearly masks the intense acidity and layer of citrus, orchard and stone fruit complexity. A delight to drink now, or over the next five years. If opened now, it's recommended to give the wine plenty of oxygen, as the wonderful flavors only lengthen and expand.

Domaine Sylvain Bailly "Terroirs" Sancerre 2016

91 Our Score
(6/2018) We're always on the hunt to offer you various styles from Sancerre and this winner from Sylvain Bailly is for lovers of mineral driven whites. This high acid Sauvignon Blanc is very lively and really showcases the region's mineral and chalky flavors. Subtle citrus notes along with crisp green pear and green apple add to the fun. You might remember the delicious Quincy we carried from this same producer. This Sancerre takes things to a whole new level!

Francois Millet Sancerre Rouge 2016

A rare Pinot Noir from the Sancerre region!
90 Our Score
90 Wine Spectator
(2018) "Pure and very fresh, with a fine chalky spine that lets cherry, damson plum and violet notes stream through with abandon. Offers a long, unadorned finish. Drink now through 2020. 850 cases made."
