Domaine des Cotes Blanches Sancerre Rose 2017

New low price! Regular Vin Chicago retail - $17.99!
90 Our Score
(11/2018) Sancerre Rose for $17.99? Yep, and it is a good one! This pink Pinot Noir offers flavors of juicy cherry, Fuji apple and raspberry. The chalky mineral astringency works great with the light tannin and medium-plus acidity and, while this wine will work by itself, it'll be even better at the table. Serve it with turkey, ham and almost everything!

Domaine des Cotes Blanches Sancerre Blanc 2017

90+ Our Score
(8/2018) Bang-for-the-buck and Sancerre are not terms that are often used together. Due to our direct import relationship with the Millet family, their Cotes Blanches is a rare exception. With tantalizing flavors of pink grapefruit, tangerine, green apple and guava, this 2017 Sancerre is a totally delicious wine. A few swirls bring out even more nuance, including green bell pepper tones and a core of salty chalk. The bright and super lively finish makes this a bottle you can't put down, with or without food.

Domaine Sylvain Bailly "Terroirs" Sancerre 2016

91 Our Score
(6/2018) We're always on the hunt to offer you various styles from Sancerre and this winner from Sylvain Bailly is for lovers of mineral driven whites. This high acid Sauvignon Blanc is very lively and really showcases the region's mineral and chalky flavors. Subtle citrus notes along with crisp green pear and green apple add to the fun. You might remember the delicious Quincy we carried from this same producer. This Sancerre takes things to a whole new level!

Domaine Paul Cherrier Sancerre 2017

91 Our Score
(2/2019) A pure authentic and unadulterated expression of Sauvignon Blanc here in this 2017 Domaine Paul Cherrier Sancerre. A Thomas Calder selection, it is clean on the palate with chalk-scented minerality and zippy acidity. We are particularly fond of the juicy baked citrus and fleshy gooseberry nuances. Long, brisk and delicious.

Domaine Roger Neveu "Cote des Embouffants" Sancerre 2018

90+ Our Score
(8/2019) Neveu crafts this textbook Sancerre from 20 year old vines on the steep southern-facing slopes of the historical Cote des Embouffants vineyard. Flinty from the start, with waves of citrus and white floral aromas and flavors popping once the wine has a few minutes to breathe. Finishes with plus length and a harmonious energy. It is lovely to get such a pretty and authentic expression of Sancerre from a family estate for such an attractive price.

Domaine Roger Neveu "Cote des Embouffants" Sancerre 2017

91 Our Score
(1/2019) Embouffants is an extremely steep, south-facing, limestone vineyard that the Neveu brothers and their sons sustainably farm. Imported by Kermit Lynch, this attractive Sauvignon Blanc is highly expressive on the nose, giving citrus and tropical fruit notes along with salty white stone minerality. Initially tight on the palate, the wine quickly opens and expands with air. A delicious Sancerre from a small estate that we've admired for years.
