Krug "Grande Cuvee - 166eme Edition" Brut Champagne NV

95 Wine Spectator
(11/15/2018) "This mouthwatering Champagne feels like a swathe of raw silk on the palate, where flavors of sun-dried white cherry, toast and Meyer lemon peel are accented by expressive saffron, ground coffee and mandarin orange peel aromas. Long and racy on the honey-, spice- and smoke-laced finish. Disgorged winter 2017. Drink now through 2025."

Egly Ouriet "V.P." Grand Cru Champagne NV 2

95 Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(8/2016) "One of the many highlights in this range, the NV Extra Brut Grand Cru V.P. (Vieillissement Prolongé) bristles with energy from start to finish. Two important vintages (2008 and 2006) come together in this release. Lemon oil, chamomile, pear, hazelnut, acacia and wild flowers open up in the glass, but it is the wine's interplay of power and freshness that is totally beguiling. There is so much to like. The current release is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, 60% 2008 and 40% 2006. Disgorged November, 2015. Dosage is 2 grams per liter."

Henri Billiot Fils "Cuvee Laetitia" Brut Grand Cru Brut Champagne NV

94+ Our Score
(1/2018) This wonderfully unique and significant bottling hails entirely from the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay in the Montagne de Reims - known for its powerful fruit. Scarcely have we experienced as ripe and supple of a Champagne, the mindbender here being that the cuvee is composed primarily (70%) of wine from a perpetual reserve solera with vintages dating back to 1983. 60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir. Ripeness is the key word in understanding this immediately delicious, but layered experience. Ripe green and red apples are highlighted by laser-like candied lemon, with a strong undercurrent of fine chalkiness all the while. There's a balance of length, power and finesse that goes beyond description. If there can be at once a connoisseur's Champagne that is at the same time a sumptuous, hedonist's Champagne (a category that is painfully fleeting), this is the one. Hard to resist but cellar for complexity, this is shockingly youthful and primary for a wine with so much reserve stock.

Chartogne-Taillet "Chemin de Reims" Extra Brut Champage NV

A Terry Theise Selection, Chartogne-Taillet is one of the most exciting young growers in Champagne. This is 100% Chardonnay from the single vineyard "Chemin de Reims," a sandy-soiled site with calcareous sand, planted in 1981. This wine is based on 2012 and spent 60 months on the lees. Our allocation was a paltry 12 bottles!

Dehu Pere & Fils "Cuvee La Rue des Noyers" Blanc de Noir Extra Brut NV

94+ Our Score
93+ Vinous, Antonio Galloni
(12/2017) "Benoit Dehu NV (2014) Extra Brut Cuvee La Rue des Noyers Non-Dose is bright, powerful and tightly wound. A wine of energy and vibrancy, the 2014 is going to need at least a few years to be at its very best. Even so, its potential today is evident. The Meunier character is pronounced, but it is the wine's salivating minerality that gives shape, focus and cut. What a gorgeous wine this. Disgorged on August 4, 2017 with no dosage. Drink 2019 - 2026."

Bollinger Rose Champagne NV

93 Wine Spectator
93 James Suckling
93 Wine Advocate
(6/29/2018) "Bollinger's NV Brut Rose is a beautiful pink Champagne composed of 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and 14% Pinot Meunier. The wine gets its noble rose color from 6% of added red wine from vineyards in Verzenay and Ay. Bread rolls, a hint of mocha and very fine red fruit aromas on the beautifully pure, fresh and perfumed nose lead to a highly delicate and fruity palate with a silky texture and filigreed structure. This is an aromatic, perfectly balanced and intense Rose of great elegance and finesse. The finish is clear and fresh but also intense and highly stimulating in its subversive salinity. This is a great Rose, and although it can surely age, I would always miss the delicacy and perfume of its youth!"

Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose Champagne NV

94 James Suckling
93 Wine Advocate
(12/7/2018) "Pale yet intense pink in color the Billecart-Salmon NV Brut Rosé is pure, fresh and intense on the nose, with lovely raspberry aromas, refreshing citrus zest flavors and great definition. On the palate this is a pure, light and vinous rosé with great finesse and a long, well-structured and even juicy finish. This iconic rosé blends 40% Chardonnay with 30% Pinot Meunier from the Vallée de la Marne and the southern slopes of Epernay and 30% Pinot Noir (with a small part added as red wine) from the Montagne de Reims and the Grande Vallée de la Marne. Fabulous. Tasted from lot L 142B804 45564, which is based on the 2015 harvest and 40% reserve wines and was disgorged in February 2018. Tasted November 2018."

Etienne Doue "Cuvee Selection" Brut Champagne NV

91 Our Score
(10/2016) The Étienne Doué is back and, for the second season in a row, it is truly outstanding. This tiny grower-producer makes only a few thousand cases per year of this 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir Champagne. Look for flavors of baked apple and pear, brisk citrus, chalky minerality and light toast along with a fine and fresh bead that dances on the palate creating a wonderful creamy texture.
