Brand "Wildrose Pur" Pfalz Portugieser Rose 2016

90 Our Score
(8/2018) The Brand brothers have been on fire recently. Each new release from these young vignerons keeps getting better and better, and people are sitting up and taking notice. They have been sweeping the natural wine fairs lately, their names being rumbled in every corner. The brothers have also started a new line dubbed "Pur", a sweeping array of different varietals all down with zero intervention, entirely pure grape juice. Their "Wildrose" rose is made with the slightly obscure Portugieser grape. The color is dark for rose, almost a translucent neon purple, and tastes like lavender and purple flowers crushed in fresh mixed berries. Indeed a bit wild, this rose is unique but incredibly delicious.

Muller Catoir Gimmeldinger Riesling Kabinett 2015

90 Vinous, David Schildknecht
(8/2017) "Luscious pear and Persian melon are coolingly tinged with mint and wintergreen on a polished palate whose levity (at 10 percent alcohol) is enhanced by a goodly measure of dissolved CO2. The finish is soothingly sustained and unabashedly sweet. Drink 2017 - 2026."

Brand Pfalz Riesling Trocken 2017

90+ Our Score
(5/2019) Daniel and Jonas Brand are fifth generation winemakers in the Pfalz region of Germany. They fully embrace the holistic biodynamic approach in both their vineyards and cellars. This entry level Riesling is everything you could want in a fresh and crisp white, and bonus, it comes in a liter bottle! Ripe orchard fruit flavors of apple and pear mingle with fresh peach. Notes of white flowers add complexity while the minerality gives wonderful depth to the wine's long finish. The texture is soft and round, making this easily gulpable at your favorite Thai or Sushi BYOB spot!

Brand Pfalz Riesling Trocken 2016

89 Our Score
(8/2018) Daniel and Jonas Brand are fifth generation winemakers in the Pfalz region of Germany. The brothers have fully embraced the holistic biodynamic approach in both their vineyards and cellars. This entry level Riesling is everything you could want in a fresh and crisp white, especially because it comes in a liter bottle! The wine is salty with bits of lime zest and tart green apples. The acidity is searing and leaves one smacking their lips in anticipation of more. Taste this and it will surely become your new go-to for BYOB outings.

Von Winning "Winnings" Pfalz Riesling 2016

90 Our Score
90 Vinous, David Schildknecht
(9/2017) "Scheurebe- or Muscat-like scents of sage, mint, basil, lemon and grapefruit zest instantly catch your attention, while muskmelon and white peach offer luscious fruit fundament on a silken, buoyant palate. Twenty grams of residual sugar support the fruit while remaining virtually undetectable as sweetness. A colloquy of citrus, herbs, melon and subtly sweaty salinity renders the cooling, stimulating finish mouthwatering and next-sip-inducing. Drinking window: 2018 - 2021." (Germany)
