Stony Brook uses the classic Champagne method to produce a 100% Chardonnay sparkler that achieves remarkable balance with refreshing minerality, citrus notes and Honeycrisp apple. Over 4 years of lees contact gives the palate a toasty, brioche creaminess on the finish. Perfect for any celebration or holiday, it pairs well with appetizers, shellfish and fried chicken. The price per quality ratio here is a no-brainer. Put this vintage sparkling up against entry-level non-vintage Champagnes that cost $15-20 more, and it will impress!

Picks up a bit of crunch toward the long, mouthwatering finish, adding to the interesting texture. Best from 2022 through 2032. 2,500 cases made, 1,009 cases imported."

(8/2018) "The 2017 Chardonnay is 20% pressed on the lees straight into barrel and matured for 10 months in French barriques, 10% new, 40% second-fill and 40% third-fill. It has a very Chablis-like bouquet of apple blossom, linseed and a light leesy component. The crisp, taut palate is fresh in the mouth and well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and the finish delivers just the right amount of salinity. This is a well-crafted Chardonnay from Constantia. Drinking window: 2019 - 2028."
