Dufaitre Cote de Brouilly 2017

91+ Our Score
(12/2018) From some of the highest elevation vineyards in the Cru, Dufaitre's Cote de Brouilly is a perfect balance between power and elegance. This is definitely the biggest and densest of Remi's wines, with plenty of grip and tannins. Remi is part of the informal group of young winemakers that have evolved from the original Gang of Four in Beaujolais. Foillard is indeed one of his biggest supporters! This is drinking wonderfully right now and will continue to get better over the years. We can see why this young man is garnering so much attention from the bistros in Paris to wine bars in New York.

Chateau Thivin Cote de Brouilly 2017

94 Wine Advocate
(9/22/2018) "The 2017 Cote de Brouilly is superb, unfurling in the glass with aromas of ripe cassis, candied violets and plums. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, structured around fine-grained but chewy tannins and tangy balancing acids, with considerable depth and substance at the core. The wine is still quite primary and will need some time to come together, but it's an excellent rendition of this storied cuvee that resembles the 2011 vintage. Drink 2020 - 2035."

Domaine des Terres Dorees Cote de Brouilly 2016

(3/2018) "Deep red. Vibrant, mineral-laced red berries, fresh flowers and dusty minerals on the highly perfumed nose. Juicy, focused and lithe in style, offering intense strawberry and bitter cherry flavors that become sweeter as the wine opens up. Smoothly combines power and finesse and finishes very long and nervy, featuring gentle tannins and lingering red berry character."
