Le Paradou Grenache 2016

90 Wine Advocate
(4/28/2017) "The Le Paradou label is a joint venture between the Ventoux's Chateau Pesquie Chaudiere family and importer Eric Solomon. The 2016 Vin de France, which has already been bottled, is 100% Grenache and comes from vines in the Ventoux and the Roussillon's Agly Valley. It was brought up all in concrete tank. Deep ruby colored, with awesome notes of garrigue, pepper, kirsch and dark fruits, this beauty hits the palate with medium to fullbodied richness, no hard edges and a great finish. It sells for a song and way over-delivers."

Espelt "Old Vines" Emporda Garnacha 2015

New low price! Regular Vin Chicago retail - $9.99!
90 Our Score
(3/2017) Our favorite value Garnacha from the northeast corner of Spain is back and it is super delicious! Purply-pink in the glass, the vines for this wine average 95 years in age and are certified organic. Very fresh with a lifted grapey beginning, the wine is deeper than initially suspected, with dark red berry fruit and medium tannins. Winemaker Anna Espelt has delivered another outrageous value.
