Chateau Pesquie "Cuvee Ascensio" Ventoux Rouge 2015

95+ Jeb Dunnuck
(10/19/2017) "Another new cuvee from this family estate is the 2015 Ventoux Cuvee Ascensio which is mostly Grenache brought up in concrete tanks. This inky colored beauty is a tour de force from the Ventoux and offers smoking good notes of blackberries, currants, smoked earth, lavender, and pepper. Deep, full-bodied and opulent, give bottles 2-4 years of cellaring and enjoy through 2028."

Xavier Vignon "Cuvee Anonyme" Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge 2015

94 Wine Advocate
96 Jeb Dunnuck
(10/19/2017) "The inky colored 2015 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee Anonyme is a serious winner in the vintage. A blend of 60% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre and the rest Counoise, Vaccarese and Muscardin, it offers a huge nose of blackberry jam, garrigue, crushed violets, and incense. Ripe, unctuous and opulent, yet not over the top, it reminds me of the Trois Source cuvee from Vieille Julienne. This is a smoking good release that will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and shine for over a decade."

Domaine Les Pallieres "Les Racines" Gigondas 2015

A beautiful 2015 Gigondas from the owners of Vieux Telegraphe!
94+ Jeb Dunnuck
94 James Suckling
94 Wine & Spirits
(10/2018) "Importer Kermit Lynch and the Brunier brothers of Vieux Telegraphe have run this estate in northern Gigondas since the late 1980s. They pull Les Racines from the property's oldest vines, averaging 65 years, a blend of grenache, syrah, cinsault and clairette growing on a mix of sandy red clay and limestone. Vinified with ambient yeasts in cement tanks, then aged in foudres for less than a year, the 2015 is one of the prettiest Gigondas wines we've ever tasted. It's brisk and red-fruited, the floral, cherry flavors taut and pure, gaining their depth from notes of stone and garrigue that keep the wine long and firm."

Domaine de Cristia Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2015

94 Wine Spectator
(9/27/2017) "This is intense, with fig, blackberry and plum compote flavors rolling over one another, while worn leather, Turkish coffee and well-roasted mesquite notes form a ring around them. Overall this is rich and dense, yet there's definition throughout. Only needs time to knit fully before delivering its peak experience. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2020 through 2035."

Domaine de la Cote de l'Ange Chateauneuf du Pape 2015

93 Wine Advocate
(10/31/2017) "Another fine effort in this very good vintage is Domaine de la Cote de l'Ange's 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape. A traditional blend of 70% Grenache, with the balance split between Syrah and Mourvedre, it spent time in both wooden foudres and cuves beton (concrete vats). Ample spice combines with richly tannic, dark, plummy fruit in this handsome, full-bodied wine. Drink Date: 2020 - 2030."

Domaine Raspail-Ay Gigondas 2015

96 Decanter
92 Wine Spectator
(10/15/2018) "Very solid, with a core of steeped dark plum, fig and black currant fruit that is still a bit coiled up, while singed cedar, lavender, savory and tobacco notes peek throughout. Shows a light sanguine echo on the finish. Just wait this out a bit longer in the cellar. Best from 2020 through 2025."

Awarding 92 points, Jeb Dunnuck calls it "smoking good" and recommends buying by the case. This month, we've got it in 1.5-liter bottles for just $25.99. Lots of big bottle fun for a rockin' price!
92 Wine Advocate
(12/30/2016) "A smoking good 2015 that readers should snatch up is the 2015 Cotes du Ventoux Cuvee des Terrasses, which is 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that's aged in a combination of two- to four-year-old barrels and foudres. Medium to full-bodied, polished, silky and with no hard edges, it has classic Southern Rhone notes of Provencal spices, garrigue, licorice and ripe black raspberries. Buy a case and drink bottles over the coming 5-6 years."

Domaine de Bila-Haut "Occultum Lapidem" Cotes du Roussillon Villages 2015

94 Wine Advocate
(4/28/2017) "One of the more polished, sexy examples of the cuvee, the 2015 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem checks in as a blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and the balance Carignan and Mourvèdre, aged all in concrete tanks. It boasts killer notes of black raspberries, cassis, pepper and licorice, with just a hint of chocolate appearing with time in the glass. This medium to full-bodied, layered and beautifully textured red is an incredible value and will be impossible to resist over the coming 4-5 years, and I'm sure it will keep even longer."

Domaine des Escaravailles "La Ponce" Rasteau 2015

91+ Our Score
91 Wine Advocate
(11/30/2017) "A blend of 80% Grenache (matured in concrete) and 20% Syrah (matured in oak), the 2015 Rasteau la Ponce delivers creamy-textured blackberry fruit with hints of cola and allspice. It's medium to full-bodied with a lingering, spicy finish and should drink well for another 4-5 years."
