Domaine de Cristia Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2015

94 Wine Spectator
(9/27/2017) "This is intense, with fig, blackberry and plum compote flavors rolling over one another, while worn leather, Turkish coffee and well-roasted mesquite notes form a ring around them. Overall this is rich and dense, yet there's definition throughout. Only needs time to knit fully before delivering its peak experience. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2020 through 2035."

Domaine Raspail-Ay Gigondas 2015

96 Decanter
92 Wine Spectator
(10/15/2018) "Very solid, with a core of steeped dark plum, fig and black currant fruit that is still a bit coiled up, while singed cedar, lavender, savory and tobacco notes peek throughout. Shows a light sanguine echo on the finish. Just wait this out a bit longer in the cellar. Best from 2020 through 2025."

Clos du Mont-Olivet Chateauneuf du Pape 2016

93 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
94 Jeb Dunnuck
(8/28/2018) "The finest base cuvée produced at this estate is the 2016 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which is 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah and the balance Cinsault, all aged in a mix of foudre and older barrels. Beautiful plums, blackberries, garrigue, and marine-like seaweed and iodine notes all give way to a pure, polished, full-bodied Châteauneuf-du-Pape that has integrated acidity and a great finish. It's a sensational classic cuvée that will keep for 2+ decades. Maturity: 2020 - 2040."

Domaine Guillaume Gonnet "Bel Ami" Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge 2016

93 Our Score
92 Wine Advocate
92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
(7/2018) "Vivid ruby. Expressive aromas of ripe red berries, candied flowers and smoky minerals take on a subtle garrigue nuance with aeration. Juicy and broad on the palate, offering fleshy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that show very good depth and spicy lift. Finishes long and subtly tannic, featuring a sneaky mineral note. Drinking Window: 2022 - 2031."

Xavier Vignon "Arcane VI - Les Amoureaux" Cotes du Rhone 2016

94+ Jeb Dunnuck
(8/28/2018) "Sourced from parcels in Lirac, Vacqueyras, Gigondas, Rasteau, and higher elevation sites in Beaumes de Venise, the 2016 Cotes du Rhone Arcane Vi Les Amoureux (mostly Grenache) offers an awesome bouquet of black cherries, blackberries, pepper, garrigue, and olives. Beautifully textured, balanced, and layered, with fabulous purity, it's a rocking wine that has loads of fruit, yet has the purity and elegance that makes this vintage so special. Drink it over the coming 15-20 years."

John Duval "Plexus" Barossa Valley GSM 2013

92 Vinous, Josh Raynolds
92 Wine Spectator
93+ Wine Advocate
(10/26/2016) "Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2013 Plexus has a seriously spicy perfume over a core of baked raspberries, crushed blackberries and red currant jelly, plus wafts of pepper and tar. Ripe, rich and medium to full-bodied, the palate offers a gorgeous, velvet-lined texture, with savory and earthy flavors coming through on the long finish. Drink 2016 - 2026."

Clos du Caillou "Les Quartz" Cotes du Rhone Rouge 2016

93 Wine Advocate
93 Jeb Dunnuck
(8/28/2018) "Spice, loamy soil, dried red fruits, and plenty of dried floral notes all emerge from the 2016 Cotes du Rhone Les Quartz, which shows more and more minerality with time in the glass. It's elegant and seamless on the palate, with building tannin, and is a terrific introduction into the wines of this estate."

Brotte "Les Hauts de Barville" Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge 2016

93 Wine Advocate
(8/31/2018) "The 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Hauts de Barville is a classic blend of 70% Grenache and 15% each Mourvedre and Syrah. Fine notes of pencil shavings underscore cherry and apricot fruit in this full-bodied, rich, velvety textured wine that offers plenty of weight yet manages to retain a sense of elegance. Drink 2018 - 2030."

Domaine Leon Barral "Jadis" Faugeres 2012

A very special wine from one of the absolute champions of biodynamic growing. Only 126 cases made it to our shores! And our price is the lowest in the country by some margin. Holy cow, 38% off the $45 reference price!
92 Wine Advocate
(4/27/2016) "More focused and elegant than the classic cuvee, the 2012 Faugeres Jadis is a similar blend yet substitutes Syrah in place of the Cinsault. Made from 50% Carignan, 30% Syrah and 20% Grenache that spent two years in barrels, it has a healthy purple color to go with lots of Carignan black and blue fruits, violets, leather, and licorice aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, elegant, layered and graceful, with ripe tannin, it too can be enjoyed anytime over the coming decade."

Domaine de Bila-Haut "Occultum Lapidem" Cotes du Roussillon Villages 2015

94 Wine Advocate
(4/28/2017) "One of the more polished, sexy examples of the cuvee, the 2015 Côtes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem checks in as a blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and the balance Carignan and Mourvèdre, aged all in concrete tanks. It boasts killer notes of black raspberries, cassis, pepper and licorice, with just a hint of chocolate appearing with time in the glass. This medium to full-bodied, layered and beautifully textured red is an incredible value and will be impossible to resist over the coming 4-5 years, and I'm sure it will keep even longer."
