(2/5/2018) "OMG. This is amazing. This is the new 2001. Incredible purity of botrytis and ripeness. Full-on. So driven and precise. Full-bodied, very sweet and electrified. Pineapple jam and mangoes - endless tropical fruits. This ends very clean and is almost tannic on the finish. A truly great Sauternes. Energy. Drink or hold."

Audrey Wilkinson Hunter Valley Semillon 2016

91+ Our Score
(7/2018) If you've not experienced a young, well-made Hunter Valley Semillon, you are in for a treat! For the first 2 to 3 years of their lives, Semillons from Hunter Valley are lean and green, with more than a little bit of zip. Given 4 to 10 years of age, they develop a wonderful round texture and a complex array of secondary flavors including honey, nuts and distinct floral notes. For now, this 11.5% ABV offering is tight and brisk, giving intense citrus and green apple flavors along with lively acidity. Serve this wine with food, the same way you might do with a bone-dry Champagne. Great pairings include sushi, salads and spicy Thai.
