Etienne Doue "Cuvee Selection" Brut Champagne NV

91 Our Score
(10/2016) The Étienne Doué is back and, for the second season in a row, it is truly outstanding. This tiny grower-producer makes only a few thousand cases per year of this 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir Champagne. Look for flavors of baked apple and pear, brisk citrus, chalky minerality and light toast along with a fine and fresh bead that dances on the palate creating a wonderful creamy texture.

Domaine Andre et Mireille Tissot Cremant du Jura Extra Brut NV

91 Our Score
(11/2017) This delicious bottling is 50% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir with the local varieties of Trousseau and Poulsard making up the remaining 10%. The wine sees no dosage (the addition of sugar after the secondary fermentation) and the result is a bone dry "extra brut" wine with crisp and mouthwatering acidity complemented by a creamy palate. The finish is lengthy with subtle hints of nuts. This is a great substitute for Champagne if you're looking to increase value without sacrificing quality.

From The Tank Cotes du Rhone Rouge NV 3.0 LT

86 Our Score
(5/2018) The "From the Tank" line is a special project of high quality boxed wines from importers Jenny & Francois Selections. This 3L box is the equivalent of 4 regular bottles of wine and can be kept for up to 3 - 4 weeks after opening. Not to mention the packaging is extremely environmentally friendly, leaving a far smaller footprint than traditional bottles. The goal was to source the highest quality organic fruit from some of their producers and make friendly everyday wines that are simple, accessible and naturally made. This will never be accused of being too modern or polished. This is gusty rough and tumble stuff that has a backbone and a rustic, roasty personality.

(4/2018) The "From the Tank" line is a special project of high quality boxed wines from importers Jenny & Francois Selections. The White is 100% Chardonnay sourced from Costieres de Nimes. The flavor profile is light and fresh, with just a touch of creamy texture. This is very easygoing and could fill a number of roles, from porch-pounding on a sunny afternoon, to big parties. This is well-made wine that just happens to come in a box. These are some of the best boxed wines on the market.

Podere Cellario "E'Bianco" Piemonte White Blend NV 1.0 LT

90 Our Score
(8/2018) A youthful, lively blend of half Moscato and half Piemontese native Arneis, this liter bottle is a spritzy guzzler loaded with stone fruit and citrus with a strike of minerality. While this wine's fruit and acidity could hold up to food, it's a challenge not to drain the whole liter by itself on a sunny day.
