Raventos i Blanc "De Nit" Cava Rose 2015

91 Our Score
91+ Wine Advocate
(4/27/2018) "The ultra pale sparkling rose 2015 De Nit is a blend of 40% Xarello, 36% Macabeo, 18% Parellada and 6% Monastrell from their biodynamic vineyards. The color is obtained by pressing the Xarello and Monastrell together, which result in a pale must. It re-fermented in bottle for no less than 18 months and has 4.5 grams of sugar, so it's an extra brut. It's deliciously perfumed, subtle and elegant, with a core of aniseed, fennel and Mediterranean plants. It's more serious than the majority of roses, more with the spirit of a white. The palate has the delicious flavors and the tastiness of the limestone soils and a somewhat bitter touch in the finish, perhaps the contribution of Monastrell. This is stunning."

(2/21/2018) "The 2017 Terrasses Rose sports a Provencal salmon color as well as terrific notes of orange blossom, hints of cherries, spices, and a distinct saltiness that keeps you coming back to the glass. Clean, beautifully made and vibrant, it's an outstanding Rose to drink over the coming 6-12 months. This cuvee is a blend of 50% Cinsault, 40% Grenache, and 10% Syrah, brought up all in tank."

From The Tank Rose Wine NV 3.0 LT

New low price! Regular Vin Chicago retail - $22.99!
86 Our Score
(4/2018) The "From the Tank" line is a special project of high quality boxed wines from importers Jenny & Francois Selections. This 3L box is the equivalent of 4 regular bottles of wine and can be kept for up to 3 - 4 weeks after opening. Not to mention the packaging is extremely environmentally friendly, leaving a far smaller footprint than traditional bottles. The goal was to source the highest quality organic fruit from some of their producers and make friendly everyday wines that are simple, accessible and naturally made. The Rose is a blend of 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah. The nose may trick you into thinking there is more fruit to this wine but when you taste it, the palate is totally brisk and clean. Minerality, hints of watermelon and acidity mix to create a refreshing, not overbearing, wine. This natural wine is one to drink with summer fare: salads, Mediterranean fare, light finger foods and more. Of course, you can also enjoy this refreshing, light wine cold sitting on the back porch. A natural wine at this price is a steal.

89 Our Score
(8/2018) Made from 70% Cinsault and 30% Grenache, this certified organic Provencal estate has produced an outstanding Rose. Floral aromas lead to fruit-forward flavors of wild strawberries, salted watermelon and tangerine zest. Dry, crisp and refreshing with a bit of extra weight, this beauty will be delicious all year round with a variety of salads, grilled fish, spicy sausage and more. The Vial family has owned this estate for five generations and the experience with the land shines through. A definite case-buy candidate. Bravo!
