(7/2025) Alphonse Mellot is a greatly respected Sancerre artisan, bottling classic dry whites that lead with minerality, precision and crunchy fruits. 'La Moussiere' is the flagship bottling from this legendary artisan house, and in 2023, it's delicious. Limestone and sticky white clay earth flavors are immediately on display, supported by cured lemon, nectarine and prickly pear. Hints of boxwood and bell pepper add complexity, and the creamy, pleasing mouthfeel gives complexity and balance to the taut, brisk finish. An instant classic.
