What We Think
Vin Chicago: 90+ Points
(9/2026) This historic producer does work both in their native Roero since 1670 - as well as Barbaresco and Barolo, owning nearly 70 hectares total across these heralded zones. The key variety in all three is Nebbiolo, and their 'Angelin' is a pure, pretty, elegant expression in 2024 that makes a convincing Pinot Noir replacement. High-toned acidity, but very light tannin, this red-fruited and floral wine delivers notes of cherry, strawberry, rose, hibiscus, orange peel and a twist of fresh mint. Excellent for drinking now, versatile at the table and easy enough on its own.
