What Critics Think
Vinous - Antonio Galloni : 95 Points
(1/2026) The 2024 Nervo Ranch Heritage Wine is an incredibly distinctive wine, largely because of the complexity of a field blend that includes 17 varieties. The lifted, articulate bouquet is immediately alluring. Brilliant red-toned fruit, chalk, mint and white pepper are beautifully sculpted. A spine of persistent yet refined tannins shapes the mid-palate and finish. Gorgeous. Drinking Window: 2028 - 2044.

(6/30/2026) For him, this is the most polarizing wine in the range, coming from 1896 vines in Alexander Valley planted on decomposed slate soils with Negrette as the secondary variety. The 2024 Nervo Ranch Heritage Wine reveals dark cherries, wild herbs, pepper, and gravelly mineral tones. The tannin structure is almost Barolo-like in its grip and chiseled feel, which may divide readers, but I absolutely love it. One of the highlights in the lineup for me, drink it over the coming two decades. Drinking Window: 2026 - 2046.
