What We Think
Vin Chicago: 92+ Points
(4/2025) Hailing from the cool climate of Edna Valley this well-kept secret is superior to many well-known California Pinots at its intended $40 price. Pouring a medium-translucent ruby, the Swansons crafted this from hand-harvested, estate-grown fruit fermented with wild yeasts, raised in partially new French oak. This lovely effort is silky, spicy, juicy, and filled with wild strawberry and taut raspberry fruits, minerality, and palpable energy. The winery made 550 cases, and we're excited to extend it to you for such a steal!
What Critics Think
Wine Enthusiast : 95 Points
(3/1/2024) For being on the entry-level side of the estate's offerings, this wine overdelivers in satisfying ways. Clean and fresh aromas of raspberry and pomegranate meet with loamy earth and wild mint on the nose. The palate is snappy with lovable red fruit and light-herb flavors, set atop a long-lasting texture. Editors' Choice.
