What We Think
Vin Chicago: 91 Points
(6/2026) Svelte and sophisticated for its origin, this peppery melange of fruit, herbs and earth paints a pretty picture of the rugged Languedoc hillsides. A blend of 35% Carignan, 35% Grenache and 30% Syrah, from 90 year old vines grown in schist soils - whole-cluster carbonic maceration is used to maintain vivacity. Very good!
What Critics Think
Jeb Dunnuck : 91 Points
(10/2/2025) Carignan, Grenache Noir, and Syrah in almost equal proportions, aged for 12 months in vats, make up the 2023 Faugères Le Tigre, which boasts a deep ruby color. Fresh, with dense, silky tannins, it displays plenty of substance but remains light and lingers on the finish. Its aromas are playful and lighthearted, displaying a fruity explosion with notes of blueberry and blackberry fruit paste, licorice, anise, prune, candied orange, and subtle wild herbs. Balanced and expressive, it is a true delight (and a bargain!). Drink 2025-2032.
