What Critics Think

(1/4/2022) Richly expressive nose, full of ripe blackcurrant and bramble aromas. This has a lovely liquorice core alongside juicy strawberries and raspberries. I like the texture here too, chewy but soft tannins with a hint of dryness coming from the acidity at the moment. Feels nice and well balanced and I like the fresh minty kick on the finish also. Good stuff. Drinking Window: 2023 - 2034.
Vinous - Antonio Galloni : 92 Points
(1/2022) The 2019 Larrivaux has a lively bouquet of black fruit, and still that wilted rose petal scent, perhaps heightened in bottle. The saline palate is medium-bodied, fresh and nicely structured, with grainy tannins on the entry and a touch of salted licorice on the finish, which just feels a little tight at the moment. This is a fine Larrivaux that should age with style. Drinking Window: 2022 - 2034.
James Suckling : 92-93 Points
(5/11/2020) The tannins are firm and silky here with blackberry and wet-earth character. It’s medium-to full-bodied with a creamy-textured finish.
