(1/6/2021) A complex nose with aromas of blackberries, spices and chocolate. It’s full-bodied with wonderfully integrated tannins that show dark fruit and berries with some lavender and violet undertones. Such gorgeous texture to this. Really impressive for this estate. A blend of 57% cabernet sauvignon, 33% merlot, 5% cabernet franc and 5% petit verdot. Try after 2024.

(3/11/2021) The flagship 2018 Château Le Crock is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 5% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It has a more serious, classic, focused, and age-worthy style to go with beautiful cassis and darker fruits intermixed with notes of cedar pencil, damp earth, graphite, and crushed stone. Nicely concentrated and structured, with ripe tannins a great mid-palate, it's a beautiful wine, but the cellar is going to be your friend. Forget bottles for 5-7 years and it should keep for 20'ish years or more. Unquestionably the finest wine I've tasted from this estate, it should be snatched up by readers.
