Winemaker's Notes
This grape is typically blended with other Bordeaux style varietals and contributes structure, dark color and weight to a wine. (89% Petit Verdot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Syrah) On its own, the purity of fruit presents hints of tangy blackberry with herbal notes of anise and black tea. Aged for 18 months in 28% new French oak and 5% new American oak, 67% neutral French oak. Enjoy this Petit Verdot with grilled red meats and smoked cheeses.
