(7/2026) In the picture-perfect 2022, even entry-level wines are pretty dang good - as evidenced by this over-delivering definition of a bistro Bordeaux. From Merlot and Cabernet Franc this drinks with freshness and honesty, unembellished by new barrel. Fresh red plum and clay minerality with fresh tobacco and strawberry - the notes are simple and deliver a refreshing, less ambitious expression that is a too-forgotten face of Bordeaux Rouge.
