What We Think
Vin Chicago: 90 Points
(9/2026) Our smart direct connections in France sometimes yield returns that just feel like stealing! When you compare this organic and regeneratively-farmed bottling from the Coteaux Varois subappellation of Provence to the commonly consumed contenders in southern French Rosé — it's not a fair fight. From an old estate at the foot of Pilon St. Clement, run by Jean-Louis Masurel since 1989 - it's a legit wine without a marketing budget or facade. From a 4.5 hectare plot of clay-limestone and gravel soils, 25-to-30 year old vines (approximately 60% Grenache, 30% Cinsault and 10% Syrah) thrive. With its deep chalky mineral tinge and white pepper dotting nectarine, lemon pith, white cherry, strawberry essence - we've long contended this has everything you're looking for in $20 Provence Rosé.
