(7/29/2022) The organic 2020 Bolgheri Rosso Felciaino is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc aged in oak for 10 months. This is a terrific expression with aromas of wet graphite or pencil shaving that I often find in the wines made by this very talented team. You get great value in this production of 25,000 bottles. Black and purple fruits cede to baked plum and cherry. These are some of the wine's hot-vintage characteristics. The vineyards see alluvial soils and are located 80 meters above sea level. Drink Date: 2022 - 2026.

(7/11/2022) Lots of blackcurrant and fresh-herb character with hints of vanilla on the nose and palate. Medium body, fine and creamy tannins and a long, persistent finish. Cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc. From organically grown grapes. Very drinkable now, but better in 2024.
