What Critics Think
Falstaff : 92 Points
(11/2022) Dense purple with a brightening rim. Medium intensity nose of plum and ripe blueberries, light pine resin on the finish. Precise on the palate, with measured acidity and fine-grained, tightly-meshed tannins. Elegant expression accompanied by ripe berry fruit into the delicately driven finish.

(5/21/2022) Lots of licorice, underbrush and leather on the nose, this is very unusual lagrein without the big up-front black fruit that’s the norm for the grape. Full-bodied, velvety and balsamic, this reminds me of some tannat reds from Madiran in Southwest France, but why not? The stylistic spectrum in this region is continuing to expand. Cool and harmonious finish. Drink or hold.
