(9/2022) Kermit Lynch imports three of the most famous growers in the Burgundy commune of Meursault. We visited two of them a few years ago. That same afternoon, we tasted at Domaine Comtesse de Cherisey, a lesser-known grower that Kermit also represents. Situated in the hamlet of Blagny, just at the top of the hill above Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Cherisey are less familiar than Roulot or Jobard - but they should be. This Puligny bottling comes from Cherisey's holdings in the 1er Cru Blagny vineyard, and it is stunning. Richly textured, with everlasting citrus, stone and orchard fruit, built on a world class structure, it's one of the best Burgundy values in Kermit's entire portfolio.
