(5/2025) Near Chablis, in the Yonne Department, Kermit Lynch discovered a small Domaine (thanks to famed vigneron Bernard Raveneau) called Domaine de la Cadette. Created by Jean and Catherine Montanet, and now run by their son Valentin, this tiny property crafts serious Chardonnays that drink like they come from more prestigious addresses. Take this bottling, 'La Châtelaine,' a 100% Chardonnay from certified organic, 25+ year old vines. Plump and rich from the generous '22 harvest, this delicious dry white offers ripe orchard and citrus along with noteworthy white rock minerals. It could easily be mistaken for baby Puligny. Really good juice here, and our price is crazy!
