What We Think
Vin Chicago: 93 Points
(11/2025) Limestone and chalk-rich soils from lieux-dits in the southern stretch of Gevrey-Chambertin lead to a racy, red-fruited profile in this classic medium-weighted vintage that bottle age has been very kind to. These wines often see 50% new oak aging and, after bottling, they respond very well to medium-term aging. This one, just liberated from our supplier's chilly warehouse, is a broadly appealing red Burgundy from a great terroir at a break-neck price. Intensely flavored with strawberry, mushroom, cherry, sous bois and subtle spice, this is a tremendous value for a well-cellared Gevrey-Chambertin!
